MULLICA HILL — Once again it’s that time of year and fall is upon us. Don’t miss free old fashioned family fun in Mullica Hill this year. It’s the 50th annual Fall Festival weekend and can you believe it?
The fun begins on Oct. 8 at 10 a.m. and lasts until 5 p.m., followed by the ghastly tales tour at 6:30 p.m. We have everything to keep the family entertained lined up such as a free bounce house for the kids.
Stroll two craft courtyards. Shop in one of our many boutique and specialty shops. Visit one of our seven restaurants or try out the food trucks.
The living history program is here and you are free to roam and see camp life, talk with a soldier who has almost first-hand experience. Maybe play dress up with civil war era garb. Skirmish on Saturday at 2 p.m. on Church Street.
Hear the canons boom, smell the wood smoke and step back in time for a few minutes. Learn history about the darkest time in our nation’s history as we endeavor to continue our history lesson.
Live music, sand art, face painting and entertainment round out the day. Many shops will have open house specials lined up for the weekend.
Celebrate 22 years in town at Farm House Design with a farm house festival. The bounce house will be located in back yard by Mademoiselle Macaron. Pumpkin painting for the kids with a fee of $6 each includes all you need and treats.
Photo spot and yard games too. Portion of proceeds donated to the 28th Pa for their exhibits. Build a scarecrow. HTR will give you everything you need to build your own custom scarecrow and all proceeds are donated.
And as it gets dark join us for the 3rd annual Ghastly Tales tour. Hear horrible tales of war, medical practices and horror. Town history is told on this 40 plus minute walk and end the evening with a simulated amputation
There will be bonfires, music and tales. All proceeds donated to the 28th Pa.
Many shops open late. On Sunday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The fun continues with crafters, food trucks, shopping, music, camp life and more fun. Skirmish at 1 p.m.
Don’t miss the reopening of Annie’s Cranny at their new location. Grab a pumpkin latte at BrewxBread or pick up a cute new outfit from one of our many boutiques. Blueplate will feature fall flavors. Cherry on Top will have pumpkin ice cream and Mademoiselle Macaron will have that delicious pumpkin spice macaron.
Don’t skip the north end of town either. Amici Mullica Hill has fall treats and cookies. Our sponsor Studio 23 Home will have decor to knock your socks off and you can get lost in the Kinsey House on Woodland Ave next to Country Critters.
Old Town Hall opens this weekend too with great exhibits from Mullica Hill’s past. Plenty of parking available at The Parsonage, The Dressing Room on Main, BrewxBread, The Corner On Main (look for Artisan Marshmallow sign), the Yellow Garage has a large parking lot and overflow parking at Friend’s School, 15 High Street and on the street parking north to south.
