Anthony Rice, son of Persis Rice of Woolwich Township.

School Activities:  School Activities (for all four years of high school, including this year) –

Mock Trial; Defense Lawyer, New Jersey State Bar Foundation Vincent J. Apruzzese Mock Trial Competition: Wrote opening statement, direct and cross exams as lead defense lawyer. County Finalist in NJSBF Mock Trial Competition.

Out of School Activities: (for all four years of high school, including this year) Intern/Shadow with Dr. Alexander Vaccaro, M.D., Ph.D., M.B.A., Rothman Institute (2021-2022) Shadowed Dr. Vaccaro, President of Rothman Institute. Participated in patient care, observed clinical rounds, surgical evaluation, imaging reviews; Intern/Shadow for CEO, Stephen Klasko, M.D., M.B.A., Jefferson Health (2019-2021) Attended meetings and organized calendar/meeting agenda with volunteers/chief of staff in office of Stephen Klasko, Jefferson Health President/CEO.; Hospital Volunteer, Jefferson Health (Volunteer Office) (2019) Delivered newspapers/magazines to patients’ rooms, gathered patients’ belongings and transported them to the Office of Patient and Family Services; Intern/Volunteer, Jefferson Health (Office of Institutional Advancement – Events Team) (2019-2022) Participated in fundraising events, created records of donor names/contacts, sorted/organized developmental materials for annual fundraising efforts; Intern/Volunteer, Jefferson Health (Jefferson Signature Services – JSS) (2019-2021) Participated in hospital visits to ensure donor satisfaction. Prepared membership materials for the JSS philanthropic program for grateful patients; Volunteer, Society of Black Academic Surgeons (SBAS) 32nd Annual Mentorship Event (2022) Volunteered at 32nd annual SBAS event. Confirmed registration, handed out program books/badges, attended educational/professional networking meetings.

Honors/Awards:High School Superintendent’s List Honor Roll (2019 – Present); College Board National African American Recognition Program Scholar (2022); AP Scholar with Honor (2022); NJ Garden AHEC – Completion of “Future of Health Professionals of New Jersey” Course (April 2021)

Future Plans:  Anthony plans to attend college, attend medical school, and would like to become a successful orthopedic spine surgeon.

Luke Wordelmann, son of Bob and Theresa Wordelmann of Mickleton.

School Activities: Class President, Student Council Executive Board (Corresponding Secretary), UNIFIED Physical Education, UNIFIED Club Vice President, Kingsway Student Ambassador, Varsity Soccer, Varsity Track, JV Wrestling, and National Honor Society.

Out of School Activities:  Club Soccer, US Soccer referee, Lifeguard (Gibbstown Swim Club), Manager (Gibbstown Swim Club), HVAC & Plumbing, Private Pilot License, Tailwheel Plane Endorsement, Experimental Aircraft Association member, volunteers at Church of the Incarnation, Horizon Networks volunteer, and American Legion Jersey Boys State 2022.

Honors/Awards:  Boys JV Soccer Captain (2019), Boys Varsity Soccer Captain (2022), National Honor Society, Student Council Corresponding Secretary, Soccer 1st Team All- Conference, and Soccer All-South Jersey.

Future Plans:After graduation, Luke plans to continue his path in aviation through a pilot program at a four year university or beginning a military aviation career path through a service academy. As an end result after his education and or service, Luke aspires to be a Commercial Airline Pilot.
