County Chorus to hold 2 performances

SEWELL — The Gloucester County Community Chorus, under the direction of Larry De Pasquale, will cap off its spring season with two Sunday afternoon performances this month, both featuring the works of Johannes Brahms, John Ness Beck, and Reuven Kosakoff, as well as a medley from the musical “Les Miserables.”

On April 23, the chorus will join with the choir of Congregation B’nai Tikvah Beth Israel, under the direction of Norma Meyer, for the first concert, starting at 3 p.m. at CBTBI, 115 East Holly Ave., Sewell.

The second performance will take place on April 30 at 3pm at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 302 Kings Highway, Clarksboro. Both performances are free, and donations are welcome.

The community chorus operates under the auspices of Rowan College of South Jersey-Gloucester campus and is comprised of college students and community members. Donations help fund scholarships benefiting students pursuing careers in music.

The chorus welcomes new members. Email glouco.chorus@gmail.com for more information.
