REPAUPO — The Repaupo United Methodist Church, 770 Paulsboro Road, will be having a Yard Sale on Saturday, May 6, from 8 am – 12 noon, rain or shine. Table rentals are $10 each.
Vendors and crafters are wanted. To rent space, please call 856-739-1884 or 856-229-4637. Some items for sale will include household, hunting, and holiday items as well as tools.
Hoagies are also being sold that day at a cost of $6 each. Types available are Italian, regular, and turkey & cheese. Pickup time for hoagies is 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon.
To order hoagies, please call 609-319-4835. Deadline for hoagie orders is Monday, May 1.
There will also be a baked goods table. Proceeds will benefit our planned mission project, a volunteer meal packaging event for the international relief organization, “Rise Against Hunger”.
Established in 1998, “Rise Against Hunger” coordinates the distribution of food and other life-saving aid around the world. The organization is driven by a vision to end world hunger in our lifetime and a mission to provide food and lifesaving aid to the world’s most destitute and hungry in the most sustainable, efficient, and effective manner.
The meal packaging program is a volunteer-based program that coordinates the streamlined packaging of highly nutritious dehydrated meals comprised of rice, soy, vegetables, flavoring and 21 essential vitamins and minerals. The meals are easily transported to crisis-burdened areas or supplied to school feeding programs around the world
Repaupo UM’s congregation is planning to host a packaging event at the church where they and other volunteers will put together 10,000 meals to help the impoverished throughout the world. Your support will be greatly appreciated and will help feed the hungry in our country and around the world.
