CLARKSBORO – Evangelical United Methodist Church of Clarksboro is pleased to welcome a new pastor beginning July 2, Pastor Shirley Goodman.
Pastor Goodman is an ordained elder having served in the Church of Nazarene for over 29 years. Most recently she served as an interim preaching pastor at both the Bel Air and Rising Sun Churches in Maryland during their time of pastoral transition.
She has also served as Administrative Pastor in Vineland, NJ, Senior Pastor in Philadelphia, PA, Urban Missions Director for the counties of Philadelphia, PA and Camden, NJ, and Senior Pastor in West Chester, PA.
Goodman, a.k.a. “The She Rev”, is also the host of the Everyday God podcast, publishing episodes at various seasons during the year. She is passionate about helping people connect the Bible to everyday life in practical and meaningful ways. Her website is www.thesherev.com.
Before ministry, Goodman had a career in sales and marketing and owned and operated a sales and customer service training and consulting business. She holds a B.A. in Organizational Management and an M.A. in organizational Leadership from Eastern University.
Her husband, Ron, is a retired Wharf and Dock Builder from Local 454 of the Carpenter’s Union in Philadelphia, PA. They live in Pennsville and have three children, five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Evangelical United Methodist Church is located at 14 W. Cohawkin Road in Clarksboro. Worship services are each Sunday at 10:30 a.m. EUM is handicapped accessible, and childcare is available during the service.
