WOOLWICH TWP. — We need your help to keep this committee active in our community. We need to expand our list of volunteers and appointed committee members to assist with events.
What is the difference between a volunteer and an appointed committee member? Both positions can suggest and help with activities, but appointed committee members can vote during our committee meetings. Individuals who are appointed need to be approved by the Swedesboro Council or Woolwich Township Committee.
Ideal candidates for volunteers are stay-at-home moms, senior citizens, and high school students. Volunteers can help for as little as two hours at an event or even chair an event. It is really up to the individual.
In addition, volunteers can attend meetings, and offer suggestions for future community activities. Currently the Parks and Recreation Committee consists of less than 10 adults ranging in age from 18 years old to 83 years old from both Swedesboro and Woolwich Township.
