COMMUNITY PANTRY FOOD DRIVE
St. Peter’s Community Pantry’s next Food Drive is Saturday, Oct. 14 from 10 a.m. to noon.
The following items are needed: canned fruits and vegetables, healthy snacks for children’s lunch boxes, canned pasta (like Chef Boy R Dee), cereal, sugar, toilet paper in four pack or individual rolls, paper towels, dish liquid, toothpaste, and bar soap. We will happily accept all groceries with current, and future, expiration dates.
The next food distribution day is Saturday, Oct. 28 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Anyone facing food insecurity is welcome to come for food.
According to the NY Times, food insecurity has doubled in the United States since last year, especially among children. We are trying to feed as many food- insecure people as possible on a limited budget. We are grateful for the help of the community.
