Sept. 1: Officers conducted a motor vehicle stop on Center Square Road. While investigating the stop, Officers determined the driver to be under the influence. As a result, Officers arrested the driver, a 48-year-old Willingboro man for Driving Under the Influence. He was processed and released to a third party with a future court date.
Sept. 2: Officers conducted a motor vehicle stop on Rt. 44 in which Officers identified the passenger as a wanted person. Upon stopping the vehicle, the passenger exited the vehicle and fled into the woods. Officers located the suspect and placed him under arrest for his original warrant, and charged him additionally with Resisting Arrest, Possession of CDS and Possession
of Drug Paraphernalia. The 35-year-old Bridgeport man was processed and turned over the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Department.
Sept. 3: Officers responded to Lasership on Crossroads Blvd. for a report of an active shooter. As Officers arrived, they located the suspect and immediately placed him under arrest. It was learned that there was a dispute between the suspect and another employee, resulting in the suspect firing a handgun at the other employee, but no one was injured. As a result, Officers charged the 21-year-old Chester, PA man with Criminal Attempted Murder, Terroristic Threats, Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purpose, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon and Prohibited
Weapon and Devices. He was then lodged in the Salem County Jail. The weapon was located inside the warehouse.
Sept. 4: Officers responded to the Acme on Center Square Road for a Theft report. It was reported that a 2005 Chevy Malibu was stolen from the parking lot with the key left inside. The vehicle was entered in NCIC as stolen and is valued at approx. $5,000. The vehicle was located in Clifton Heights, PA and removed from NCIC.
Sept. 6: Officers observed a Penske box truck that was entered in NCIC as stolen from Delaware. Officers stopped the vehicle on I-295 and placed the 33-year-old Sharon Hill, PA driver under arrest and charged him with Receiving Stolen Property. He was released on a summons with a future court date.
Sept. 7: Officers responded to an Eagle Farms residence for a Burglary to a motor vehicle. It was
reported that someone entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle but does not appear that anything
has been taken.
Sept. 16: Officers responded to UPS on Birch Creek Road for a report of a Robbery. It was reported that while the victim was in his vehicle, three suspects approached with one suspect brandishing a handgun. As the victim was able to get away, the suspects fled the area. A search for the suspects was negative.
Sept. 19: Officers responded to Rite Aid on Village Center Drive for a Shoplifting report. It was
reported that two suspects entered the store, filled a bag with approximately $700 worth of cosmetic products and left without paying.
Sept. 20: Officers responded to the intersection of Center Square Road and Pedricktown Road for a single vehicle Motor Vehicle Crash. While investigating, Officers were informed by an occupant in the vehicle that the driver fled the area after crashing. After investigating, Officers learned the occupant was the driver. As a result, Officers charged the 30-year-old Logan Twp. man with Filing a False Police Report. He was released on a summons with a future court date.
Sept. 20: Officers responded to the Gloucester County Library on Beckett Road for a Theft report. It was reported that the victim had his blue and white bicycle stolen from the library. The $50 bicycle was located a week later and returned to the owner.
Sept. 25: Officers responded to Miller Truck Leasing on Repaupo Station Road for a Theft report. It was reported that one of their trucks was stolen from the property. The vehicle was entered NCIC as stolen and is valued at approx. $32,000.
Sept. 26: Officers responded to the Juice Pod on Village Center Drive for a report of an attempted Burglary. It was reported that someone tried prying the rear door to the business but was unable to gain entry. This attempt caused approx. $400 in damage.
Sept. 27: Officers took a report for a stolen vehicle at Glacier Point Enterprises on Commodore Drive. It was reported that over the weekend, someone entered the property and stole a box truck valued at approx. $50,000. The vehicle was entered stolen into NCIC, and was recovered in Wilmington, DE on Oct. 4, 2023.
Sept. 28: Officers conducted a motor vehicle stop on Oriole Drive. While conducting the stop, the driver provided false information about his identity. Officers learned the driver’s true identity and placed the 31-year-old Logan Twp. man under arrest for Hindering Apprehension. He was
processed and released on a summons with a future court date.
