WOOLWICH TWP. – Democrat Natalie Matthias was selected to serve as mayor of Woolwich Township for 2024 at the township’s annual reorganization meeting.
Matthias has been a member of the Woolwich Town Committee since 2019, and served as Deputy Mayor. Democrat Michael Nocentino has been selected as Deputy Mayor.
In Woolwich Township, the Township Committee selects one of its members to serve as mayor and deputy mayor.
Last year, Republican Committeeman Craig Frederick served as mayor. Fellow Republican Committeeman Dennis Callahan served as deputy mayor.
Democrats now hold the majority with three seats of the five seat committee. In 2023, Republicans held the majority on the committee.
