Jan. 2: Officers were dispatched to CVS (2016 Route 322) for a reported shoplifting incident. It was learned that a female concealed several cosmetic and facial products, totaling $1,014, into her jacket and exited the store without paying. The female was observed leaving the parking lot in a van operated by another subject. This incident was turned over to the Detective Unit for investigation.

Jan. 3: Officers were dispatched to a Route 322 residence for a possible dispute. During their investigation on the scene, officers arrested a subject for the misuse of 9-1-1 services. The subject was processed and lodged into the Salem County Correctional Facility.

Jan. 4: Officers conducted a traffic enforcement stop on US Route 322 near Pancoast Road. An occupant of the vehicle was found to have an active warrant and was subsequently arrested, processed, and released with a pending court appearance.

Jan. 5: Officers responded to a residence on Frederick Boulevard for a court order violation. A subject on location was arrested for contempt of court and subsequently processed and released with a pending court appearance.

Jan. 6: Officers received information about a possible stolen motor vehicle in the parking lot of ShopRite. During their investigation, they located the vehicle occupied, and the driver was arrested for receiving stolen property along with possession of a controlled dangerous substance. The subject was processed and released, on a summons, with a pending court appearance.

Jan. 7: Officers were dispatched to ShopRite for a shoplifting call. Officers on scene arrested a subject for stealing $208.32 in product. The subject was processed and released, on a summons, with a pending court appearance.

Jan. 7: Officers were dispatched to a fight in the area of Ogden Road and Woodstown Road. Officers arrested one subject for simple assault. The subject was processed and released, on a summons, with a pending court appearance.

Jan. 8: Officers were dispatched to ShopRite for a shoplifting call. Officers on scene arrested a subject for stealing $80.78 in product. The subject was processed and released, on a summons, with a pending court appearance.

Jan. 11: Officers were dispatched to a residence on Kings Highway for an attempted burglary. During their investigation, officers discovered an occupied, running vehicle, on location. The driver of the vehicle was found to be under the influence and subsequently arrested for driving while intoxicated. The driver was processed and released with a pending court appearance.

Jan. 12 – Officers conducted a traffic enforcement stop on US Route 322 near Paulsboro Road. An occupant of the vehicle was found to have an active warrant and was subsequently arrested, processed, and released with a pending court appearance.

Jan. 12: Officers were dispatched to Spirit Auto Center for the report of multiple vehicles being burglarized. Three vehicles, two with smashed windows, were entered and tampered with. Evidence suggests that the suspect(s) were attempting to steal the vehicles but were unsuccessful. This incident was turned over to the Detective Unit for investigation.

Jan. 14: Officers conducted a traffic enforcement stop on Monroeville Road near Route 45. An occupant of the vehicle was found to have an active warrant and provided false information to officers. The subject was arrested, processed, and released, on a summons, with a pending court appearance.

Jan. 18: Officers responded to Wawa for a shoplifting call and arrested a subject for stealing $14.09 of product. The subject was processed and released, on a summons, with a pending court appearance.

Jan. 20: Officers conducted a traffic enforcement stop on Kings Highway near US Route 322. An occupant of the vehicle was found to have an active warrant and was subsequently arrested, processed, and released with a pending court appearance.

Jan. 21: Officers were dispatched to the area of Oaks Drive and Village Green Drive for a suspicious motor vehicle reported to be parked in a nearby farm field. Officers made contact with the operator, who was found to have an active warrant. The subject was arrested, processed, and released with a pending court appearance.

Jan. 24: Officers responded to the Swedesboro Diner for the report of a motor vehicle theft. The vehicle was left idling, unsecure, while the operator went inside the establishment. After an investigation led by the Detective Unit, officers were able to later identify and charge the suspect involved.

Jan. 30: Officers were dispatched to a residence on Lake Avenue for a disturbance. During their investigation, officers arrested one subject for simple assault, terroristic threats, and for having an active warrant. The subject was processed and lodged into the Salem County Correctional Facility.

Jan. 30: Officers were dispatched to Eagle View Trail apartments for a motor vehicle theft in progress. Officers located the suspects operating the stolen vehicle and a pursuit ensued. The pursuit was eventually terminated in the area of US Route 322 and the Route 295 entrance ramp (Logan Township). The stolen vehicle was later recovered, unoccupied, in Philadelphia, PA.

Jan. 30: Officers were dispatched to the Lexington Mews for a burglary of a motor vehicle that occurred overnight. The suspect(s) made entry by smashing in the vehicle’s rear window. Additional evidence suggests that the suspect(s) also attempted to steal the vehicle but were unsuccessful.
