CARNEY’S POINT — Last year, the Woman’s Club of Penns Grove-Carneys Point, Inc. has decided to bring back their Garden Mart Festival, one of its most popular events which offers something for everyone.
The Garden Mart Festival will be held on Saturday, May 11 at Dunn’s Park in Carneys Point from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The festival promises to be even better this year, featuring beautiful plants like hanging baskets and potted flowers perfect for Mother’s Day, and also creative activities for children.
Enjoy browsing through information tables set up by local nonprofit organizations. Go back in time shopping in Granny’s Attic, or picking out a handcrafted gift at the Crafty Women’s table.
Indulge in some delicious treats from food trucks on site or enjoy a Rita’s Water Ice. Take home your favorite cake or cookies from the homemade “Bake Sale” table.
The proceeds from these sales will support various charitable and community projects. DJ Trick Dawson will be providing music, along with other local entertainment. Local vendors and crafters will be selling items also.
A 50/50 will be held, with proceeds used to support the club’s scholarship fund. Tickets will be available for purchase in advance, as well as at the park. A drawing will take place at 2 p.m. on the day of the event.
