MT. CALVARY JOINS REGIONAL FOOD CENTER

MULLICA HILL — Mt. Calvary Baptist Church’s food pantry recently became a part of the Southern Regional Food Distribution Center’s network of partners established to meet the food insecurity challenges facing this community’s residents.

The Southern Regional Food Distribution Center, located in Vineland NJ, is a food provider to local South Jersey pantries and is funded by the State of New Jersey, to distribute food to South Jersey residents who require assistance to feed their families in this era of rising food prices.

Mt. Calvary Baptist, located at 44 High Street under the leadership of Pastor Atiba Rose, opened their food pantry in January 2021 and on the third Saturday of each month has provided food, toiletries and paper products to many families.

Mt. Calvary’s food pantry was previously internally funded by the congregation, with support from Wawa and ShopRite, Mullica Hill. The Church also sponsors a community dinner, which will be held in November 2024.

With assistance from the Southern Regional Food Distribution Center, Mt. Calvary will be able to assist additional families with feeding their families. All members of this community who wish to be served by the pantry are encouraged to email the church at MountcalvaryMH@yahoo.com.
