MICKLETON — If you are over 55 and live in East Greenwich Township, please join us for our monthly meetings. We meet the first Thursday of every month at 10 a.m. in the East Greenwich Municipal building on Democrat Road in Mickleton.
We welcome new members to help us rebuild our senior group into an active group with planned activities and outings. Please come to our meetings to help us promote more activities in our community. For additional information, email seniors@eastgreenwichnj.com.
We need to hear from you!
We have been given the opportunity to share a small bus with Gibbstown for use with our seniors. We need your input to help us decide how to use it: shopping trips, going to the mall, going to a movie, or getting to county events.

Senior Game Days
Our Senior Game Day continues. It is on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month.
This month’s game day will be on Sept. 12 and 26 from 1:30 to 4 p.m. in the courtroom at the municipal building.
It will also be on Oct. 10 and 24. Bring a game to play with others or just come and join in a group to learn a new game.
We also have a piano teacher who wanted to know if anyone played the keyboard and are interested in a keyboard lesson during this time. Contact us via our email address and let us know. We can set up a schedule.
Meet Ups
We’ve enjoyed our meet ups so much we decided to make it a monthly event. We will be meeting up at the Death of the Fox on the third Tuesday of every month from 9:30 to 11a.m. Drop in for a cup of their wide array of gourmet coffee, espresso, tea, and Italian soda. They also have hot chocolate.
This is just a casual get-together to meet old and new friends from our community. You are welcome to bring food with you if you want to enjoy a treat with your beverage.
The Death of the Fox is located in the Villages of Whiskey Mill at 119 Berkley Road, Unit B, in Clarksboro. Come out and join us.
Save the Date
The East Greenwich Senior Citizens Committee invites seniors over 55 to join them for lunch on Wednesday, Sep. 18 from 12 noon to 3 p.m. at Botto’s Italian Line Restaurant in Swedesboro. This luncheon is to get to know our seniors’ needs and interests and to promote social interaction and safety within the community.
Registration forms will be sent out in the township email blast. You can also go to the municipal building to get a form. Please note that seating is limited to 100 people and you must fill out a registration form and deliver it to the clerk’s office at the East Greenwich Municipal Building at 159 Democrat Road, Mickleton. For questions or cancellations, contact us at seniors@eastgreenwichnj.com. The deadline to sign up for this event is Friday, Sept. 6.
