July Woolwich Twp. Police Crime Log

For July of 2024, the Woolwich Township Police Department managed 2,743 proactive and reactive calls for service. These included 395 Motor Vehicle Stops; 164 Targeted Radar Enforcement; 34 Motor Vehicle Crashes; 19 Motor Vehicle Complaints; 17 Threats; 10

Domestic Violence Incidents; 8 Harassments; 6 Shopliftings; 4 Assaults; and 21 Arrests (6 Warrants, 3 Threats, 3 DWIs, 2 Assaults, 2 Shoplifting, 2 Burglary, 1 Aggravated Assault, 1 Criminal Mischief, and 1 Contempt of Court).

July 2: Patrol units responded to a motor vehicle crash in which a vehicle entered a ditch on Oldmans Creek Road (Woolwich Twp.). No injuries were reported.

July 2: Patrol units were dispatched to the Wawa (Woolwich Twp.) for a report of fuel theft.

July 3: Patrol units were dispatched to the Wawa (Woolwich Twp) for a report of theft.

July 3: Patrol units were dispatched to Grace Court (Woolwich Twp.) for a disturbance. The investigation concluded with one subject arrested for contempt of court order. 

July 3: Patrol units were dispatched to Kings Highway and Sherwood Dr. (Woolwich Twp.) for a motor vehicle crash, a single vehicle into a tree. The operator received medical attention, and the crash investigation was conducted by Patrol Units. 

July 3: Patrol and Detective units responded to Spruce Trail (Woolwich Twp.) for a stolen motor vehicle. The vehicle was subsequently located in Pennsylvania due to a vehicle pursuit. 

July 6: Patrol units responded to the Sinclair Gas Station (Woolwich Twp.) for theft of gas. 

July 6: Patrol units were dispatched to the ShopRite (Woolwich Twp.) for shoplifting. The subject was arrested, processed, and released pending a future court date. 

July 6: Patrol units conducted a motor vehicle stop in the area of Auburn Road (Woolwich Twp.) which resulted in the arrest of an occupant who had multiple outstanding warrants. The subject was transported to the Salem County Correctional Facility.

July 7: Patrol units were dispatched to the Wawa (Woolwich Twp) for theft of gas. 

July 8: Patrol units were dispatched to Gabrielle Circle (Woolwich Twp.) for a vehicle fire. No injuries were reported. 

July 9: Patrol units were dispatched to Rt. 322/Stone Meeting House (Woolwich Twp.) for a two-vehicle crash. No injuries were sustained, and a vehicle crash report was generated.   

July 9: Patrol units were dispatched to Locke Avenue Park (Woolwich Twp.) for a motor vehicle complaint of dirt bikes operating within the park. 

July 9: Patrol units were dispatched to Broad Street (Swedesboro) for a reported domestic violence incident. Investigation determined the incident was not physical, no injuries were reported, and no arrests were made. 

July 10: Patrol units were dispatched to Pondview Drive (Woolwich Twp.) for the odor of natural gas. The scene was turned over to the Woolwich Twp. Fire Department and South Jersey Gas. 

July 10: Patrol units were dispatched to Paulsboro Road (Woolwich Twp.) for a reported stolen vehicle. A report was generated, and the investigation is ongoing. 

July 10: Patrol units were dispatched to Woodstown Road (Swedesboro) for a reported hit-and-run vehicle crash.  

July 10: Patrol units were dispatched to the 1400 block of Kings Highway (Swedesboro) for a large fight, specifically involving approximately 10 juveniles. Patrol responded and resolved the incident without issue. 

July 11: Patrol units were dispatched to the Wawa (Woolwich Twp.) for a reported shoplifting. The investigation concluded with the suspect being placed under arrest, transported, processed, and released upon the issuance of a summons.

July 11: Patrol units were dispatched to Kings Highway (Swedesboro) for a suspicious motor vehicle. Upon investigation, the occupant was placed under arrest for an outstanding warrant and subsequently released pending a future court date. 

July 12: Patrol units responded to Nocentino Drive (Woolwich Twp.) for a report of bank account fraud.

July 13: Patrol units were dispatched to Maple Ave (South Harrison) for a domestic violence incident. The investigation concluded with one subject being placed under arrest for simple assault. 

July 13: Patrol units were dispatched to Kings Highway/Asbury Station Rd (Woolwich Twp.) for a reported domestic violence incident. The investigation concluded with no arrests made. 

July 15: Patrol and Detective units served an active out-of-state extraditable warrant for threats on Kings Highway (Swedesboro). The individual was arrested and housed in Salem County Jail awaiting extradition to Florida. 

July 16: Patrol units were dispatched to Park Avenue (Swedesboro) for a reported domestic violence incident. The investigation concluded with no arrests made. 

July 17: Patrol units were dispatched to Wawa (Woolwich Twp.) for a report of theft of gas. The investigation is ongoing. 

July 18: Patrol units located an individual in the area of Asbury Station Road (Woolwich Twp.) attempting to steal metal signage belonging to Gloucester County Highway. The individual was arrested and charged with theft.

July 19: Patrol units responded to a shoplifting complaint at ShopRite (Woolwich Twp.). Subsequently, two individuals were arrested, and one was found to have methamphetamine in his possession.

July 25: Patrol units were dispatched to Woodstown Road (Swedesboro) for criminal mischief. The suspect was identified, located, and arrested.

July 25: Patrol units were dispatched to Kings Highway (Swedesboro) for a residential burglary. The investigation concluded with one suspect arrested and a warrant issued for the second suspect. 

July 26: Patrol and Detective units located the second suspect from a residential burglary on Park Avenue (Swedesboro). The suspect was placed under arrest and housed in Salem County Correctional Facility. An associate on location was found to have active warrants and was housed in Salem County Correctional Facility as well. 

July 27: Patrol units conducted a motor vehicle stop in the area of Second Street (Swedesboro). This motor vehicle stop concluded with the operator being placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated.

July 27: Patrol units conducted a motor vehicle stop in the area of Auburn Avenue (Swedesboro). This motor vehicle stop concluded with the operator being placed under arrest for outstanding warrants. 

July 27: Patrol units conducted a motor vehicle stop in the area of Monroeville Road (South Harrison). This motor vehicle stop concluded with the operator being placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated. 

July 28: Patrol units were dispatched to Tavistock Drive (Woolwich Twp.) for a hit and-run crash. Subsequent investigation concluded with the accused driver being arrested for driving while intoxicated. 

July 30: Patrol units were dispatched to East Avenue (Swedesboro) for a reported aggravated assault. Investigation identified the suspect, who was later identified, located, and transported to the Salem County Correctional Facility for housing. 

July 31: Patrol units conducted a motor vehicle stop on Richardson Avenue (Swedesboro), which found the operator to have outstanding warrants. The subject was arrested, processed, and subsequently released on their own recognizance with a new court date.
