Woolwich awards contracts for park improvements

WOOLWICH TWP. – At Woolwich Township’s Committee meeting on Sept. 16, bids were accepted for improvements to township park facilities.

One contract was for the Center Square Road Walking Trail. Improvements to be made are the replacement of the concrete sidewalk with compliant ramps and new curbing at the crossing at Frederick Boulevard and Valley Forge Drive.

The proposal from Remington and Vernick was awarded for amounts not to exceed $23,200.

Improvements are also to be made to the bikeway for High Hill Trail (Phase 3).

The bikeway improvement will connect into existing High Hill Trail Pathway from 121 High Hill Road to the south entrance road of Locke Avenue Park. This includes ramps and new curbing.

Remington and Vernick were awarded the contract for $55,100.
