Pork and Sauerkraut Dinner, Nov. 23

CLARKSBORO — When the leaves have turned to red and gold, and there is a nip in the air, the community looks forward to the Annual Pork and Sauerkraut Dinner hosted by St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Clarksboro.

The dinner this year will be held on Saturday, Nov. 23 from 3 to 6 p.m. at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 304 Kings Highway in Clarksboro. Tickets are $22 per person and include pork and a special recipe for sauerkraut from our parish matriarch who immigrated from Germany as a young woman. The meal also comes with potatoes, a vegetable, applesauce, rolls and butter and dessert.

No one knows exactly when this tradition began, but it has been a Fall staple in the Gloucester County area for more years than we can count.

Tickets can be purchased through Zeffy on our church website, www.stpetersclarskboro.org or you can call the church office to reserve your tickets to be held for you at the door.

These tickets go quickly, so reserve yours today to be sure that there is a space for you.
