SWEDESBORO — The Greater Swedesboro Business Association will hold its Annual ShopRite/Zallie Community Foundation Swedesboro-Woolwich Christmas Parade on Saturday, Nov. 30 at 1 p.m.
The parade begins at the Walter Hill School at the corner of Kings Highway and Mechanic Street and proceeds through town to Trinity Episcopal Church at the corner of Kings Highway and Church Street.
The parade is held rain or shine.
This year’s parade will feature the 2024 Champions South Philadelphia String Band as well as the Duffy String Band, Jersey String Band and the very popular Kingsway High School Marching Band who help bring our star guest Santa Claus to town.
Other special guests will be featured as well as many of our community organizations and businesses. The Kingsway High School Junior ROTC will lead off the parade with their color guard followed by the Woolwich Fire Department. The Wheelman, a group of cyclists riding early cycles manufactured in and before 1932, will be highlighted.
In 2023, over 1,200 participants were in the parade, and the spectators numbered in the thousands, the largest audience to date.
The Greater Swedesboro Business Association is still seeking participants in the parade. Specifically seeking floats, antique and specialty cars, animal groups, bands, business vehicles/floats, cheer and dance groups and pageant contest winners.
Sponsorships are also still available. You can sponsor bands and more. Costs vary from $500 to $2,600.
Businesses that donate will have a banner in the parade and promotion on social media and more.
