WOOLWICH TWP. – At their Dec. 16 meeting, the Woolwich Township Committee approved two ordinances giving letters of support and zoning approvals for Nova Farms Woodbury LLC and Woolwich Wellness Company LLC for Class 1 Cannabis Cultivator licenses.
Nova Farms Woodbury is located at 169 Russell Mill Road, and Woolwich Wellness Company is located at 857 Russell Mill Road.
In order to get committee approval, each company had to submit their business plan and proof that it has secured a satisfactory location for it proposed operations.
Before operations can begin, the cannabis cultivation companies must receive a Class 1 Cannabis Cultivation License from the State of New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory Commission, and they must be in compliance with all necessary state, municipal and zoning approvals to conduct operations.
The approved ordinances state that the township will benefit from the cannabis companies by providing substantial financial and social benefits and will create employment opportunities. The township has established that three cannabis licenses will be available for Class 1 cultivators, and three for Class 2 manufacturers.
