December 2024 Woolwich Police Crime Log

During December 2024, the Woolwich Township Police Department managed 2,651 proactive and reactive calls for service. These included 359 Motor Vehicle Stops; 90 Targeted Radar Enforcement; 47 Motor Vehicle Crashes; 20 Motor Vehicle Complaints; 3 Threats; 6 Domestic Violence Incidents; 7 Harassments; 7 Assaults; and 6-Arrests (1- Warrants, 1- Traffic Offense, 1- Simple Assault, 1-Contempt of Court, 1- Aggravated Arson, and 1- Warrant).

Dec. 2 (Woolwich Twp): Residential burglary to an unoccupied dwelling, investigation ongoing.

Dec. 3 (Woolwich Twp): Overnight vehicle burglaries were reported to patrol units around Cambridge Blvd., investigation is ongoing.

Dec. 4 (Swedesboro): Patrol units responded to Park Avenue for a reported hit and-run motor vehicle crash.

Dec. 4 (Woolwich Twp): Patrol units received a walk-in complaint for fraud.

Dec. 5 (Woolwich Twp) Patrol units conducted a motor vehicle stop on a vehicle for displaying a fictitious temporary license plate. The operator was cited, a fictitious registration was seized, and the vehicle was towed.

Dec. 7 (Swedesboro): Patrol units responded to a reported assault, which concluded with one subject being placed under arrest.

Dec. 9 (Woolwich Twp): Patrol units responded to a single-vehicle crash around Harrisonville Road and Woodstown Road.

Dec. 10 (Woolwich Twp): Patrol units received a report for a lost or stolen license plate on Paulsboro Road.

Dec. 12 (Woolwich Twp): Patrol units received a report of fraudulent checks being cashed.

Dec. 13 (Woolwich Twp): Patrol units received a report of criminal mischief, specifically eggs being thrown at a residence.

Dec. 15 (Woolwich Twp): Patrol units conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 322. During the course of the stop, it was found that the operator was in possession of a fraudulent registration, insurance, and temporary license plate. The fraudulent items were seized, and the vehicle was towed.

Dec. 17 (Woolwich Twp): Patrol units were dispatched to Bantry Street for a late report of two subjects attempting to enter a residence. Subjects were gone upon arrival.

Dec. 19 (Woolwich Twp): Patrol units received a report of threats via telephone text messages. The threats were consistent with common fraud/scam tactics. No immediate threats were discovered.

Dec. 20 (Woolwich Twp): Patrol units responded to a report of a stolen license plate of a vehicle on Westbrook Drive. The investigation was inconclusive in determining if the license plate was stolen or lost.

Dec. 21 (Woolwich Twp): Patrol units responded to JB Liquors for a reported underage individual attempting to pass a fraudulent identification. The subject was arrested, processed, and released pending a future court date.

Dec. 25 (Woolwich Twp): Patrol units were dispatched to Steeplebush Run for reported arson. The investigation concluded with one subject being arrested and housed in the Salem County Correctional Facility.

Dec. 26 (Swedesboro): Patrol units responded to East Avenue for a report of juveniles trespassing on private property.

Dec. 30 (Woolwich Twp): Patrol units were dispatched to Wawa (123 Paulsboro Road) for a reported shoplifting. Investigation on-going.

Dec. 30 (So. Harrison): Patrol units were dispatched to a suspicious incident in the area of Stewart Park involving a vehicle pulling up alongside individuals on foot. No additional information currently, the investigation is ongoing.
