CLARKSBORO — Evangelical United Methodist Church is introducing an opportunity for senior adults to get out of the house this winter and have some fun. The church is partnering with the East Greenwich Senior Citizens Committee to host their Game Days on the second and fourth Thursday of the month.
The church’s newly renovated community room allows participants to enjoy games while spending time with old friends and meeting new ones. Participants are welcome to bring their own non-alcoholic refreshments.
The church has accessibility features such as an elevator for those with mobility challenges, and the new tables and chairs are well suited for board games, card games and the like.
This partnership provides a consistent venue for the Committee’s Game Days which were formerly held in the municipal courtroom. It also creates an opportunity for the church to be of service to the senior community in East Greenwich.
Plans are underway for several special events that are of value to the senior adult population.
Game days are open to the public and all seniors are invited to attend. Bring your favorite game or join in with someone else. Any cancellations for inclement weather will be posted on the township website under the Senior Citizens Committee link.
The church is located at 14 W. Cohawkin Road, Clarksboro, and there is ample free parking.
