Homeschool Hangout: Friday, April 18 at 10:30 a.m. We will be playing Making Mooo-lah! This game is a life size game board where the players will move around on the game board all the while seeing if they can run a successful farm. This activity was provided through the Thinking Money For Kids grant which was received from ALA (American Library Association) and FINRA (Investor Education Foundation. Children will play games that teach money skills and engage them with financial topics — like saving, spending, sharing, and budgeting — in a way that is both meaningful and fun. Be sure to register. Smash Book Crew: Wednesday, April 23 at 4 p.m. Smash books are a way to express yourself. There is no rhyme or reason. Make a Tree Disc Necklace: Longwood Garden Community Read Program: Thursday, April 10 at 4 p.m. Make your own tree-disc necklace. We will stencil or stamp a flower, butterfly, or leaf design, then paint with permanent marker to use as decorative ribbon to make a necklace. Each person must be registered as space and supplies are limited. This is a Longwood Gardens Community Read Program.

Make an Indoor Terrarium: Longwood Gardens Community Program: Thursday, April 24 at 4 p.m. Join us for Certified Gardener, Martha Battisti – she will bring all supplies necessary for you to make your own terrarium. Literacy Buddies: Are you interested in getting homework or reading help for your child? Is your teen interested in tutoring? The Margaret Dombrosky Swedesboro Public Library provides weekly one-on-one help. Call 856-467-0111 if interested.
Take-Home Activities:
Read and Do Bags!: Limited to one per child, each bag contains 2 to 3 library books, a coloring page, and a simple craft you can do with your child at home. Different themes are available while supplies last. Please bring your bag to the circulation desk for checkout.
Grab and Go Bags for Children: Limited to one per child, each bag includes simple crafts you can do at home! There will be two new crafts per month. First-come, first-served, while supplies last.
