Community Helper’s Club: Tuesday, Nov. 25 at 4 p.m. This monthly meeting is to put like-minded tweens and teens together to discuss how to make our communities a better place. We will be talking about topics such as going green, donating supplies or even helping the elderly. Each month will have a new issue so you can bounce ideas off of each other. Ages 9 to 17. Please register as space is limited.

Crafter’s Corner: Woods Tag Gift Sign: Tuesday, Nov. 18 at 12:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. We’ll be using wood burning paste to decorate a 12×16 inch wood gift tag sign. All supplies provided. Please register as each session only has 3 spots available with only 7 available sessions.

Quilling Time: Wednesday, Nov. 19 at 11:30 a.m. Quilling is an art form that involves the use of strips of paper that are rolled, shaped, and glued together to create decorative designs. This group can be for beginners or experienced quillers who can share their knowledge of the craft. All supplies provided. Please register as space is limited.

Monday Night Needlers: Mondays, Nov. 17, 6:30-8:30 p.m. Bring your fiber arts project or learn to knit, crochet, cross-stitch, etc. Beginners and experienced crafters welcome.

Everybody Sign: Basic American Sign Language Lessons: First Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m. Join us for an interactive class exploring the basics of American Sign Language (ASL). In this session, you’ll learn everyday signs, common phrases, and proper fingerspelling techniques.    Whether you’re curious, just starting out, or looking to enhance your communication skills, this class is a great place to begin! Sign Language Social: First Thursday of the month at 7:30 p.m. Come join our relaxed and welcoming American Sign Language (ASL) Socials — a space for everyone interested in ASL and Deaf culture! Whether you’re Deaf, hard-of-hearing, a sign language student, interpreter, or just curious about learning, these gatherings are a great way to connect, practice signing, and build community. All skill levels are welcome — no pressure, just conversation, culture, and connection. Let’s sign, learn, and grow together! 

Wooly Wonders: Third Monday of the month from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. In this needle felting group, we make small 3D shapes from wool. Whether you’ve never needle felted before or you’re an expert, this group is for you.  All materials provided. Registration required as space is limited.

Knit & Crochet Club: Tuesdays, Nov. 18 and 25 from 1-3 p.m.Learn to knit or crochet (instruction and materials provided). Get help or inspiration for your current or next project. All skill levels welcome. 

Tinseltown Tuesdays: Tuesday, Nov. 18 at 5:30 p.m. This month we will be watching Written on the Wind (1955). Dorothy Malone won an Oscar in this Douglas Sirk film based upon the roman à clef novel by Robert Wilder. With Rock Hudson, Lauren Bacall, Robert Stack. Memory Preservation Station: Friday, Nov. 7 at 2 p.m. & Tuesday, Nov. 25 at 6 p.m.Preserve your family’s treasured memories with our VHS-to-DVD converter, Slide Film Scanner, and 8mm/Super8 Film Reel Converter by reserving a 2.5 hour time slot in our MakerStudio at the Logan Library.

Gaming Get-Together: Fridays, Nov. 7, 14, 21 & 28 at 1 p.m.Get together and play a game with other novices at the library! There is a different game highlighted every week. This is a friendly group, but some experience/knowledge of the game is a plus. Please register, as we have limited sets.

3D Printer Reservation: Thursday, Nov. 13 at 6 p.m.Reserve a 2.5-hour time slot to use the 3D printer in the Logan MakerStudio. NOTE: To use the 3D printer you must first complete a certification course.

3D Printer Certification: Friday, Nov. 14 at 2 p.m. & Tuesday, Nov. 18. Get certified to use our MakerBot Replicator+ 3D printer, and start your own Maker Movement today. Once you’ve completed this 1 hour course, you’ll be able to reserve time to use our 3D Printers at any GCLS location. Please register.

Cardio Drumming: Saturday, Nov. 15 at 10:45 a.m. Using drum sticks and yoga balls, focus on your health with cardio drumming – made fun for everyone. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a water bottle to stay hydrated. Please register.

American Troops in WWII: Monday, Nov. 17 at 1 p.m.Join our Watch Party as we take part in a live lecture offered by Road Scholar called GIs in Britain: The British People & American Troops in WWII. This engaging online event explores the experiences of American troops—and the lasting bonds they formed with the British people—during World War II. The lecture will be held online and will include time afterward for questions. Whether you’re a history enthusiast, a Veteran, or simply curious about this chapter of the past, we invite you to attend.

Bestsellers Book Club: Wednesday, Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. Join us each month for a discussion about our monthly book pick.  This month we will be discussing Here One Moment by Liane Moriarty. Please ask the Logan Library circulation staff for a copy of the book.

Silhouette & Decal Making Certification: Thursday, Nov. 20 at 6 p.m. & Friday, Nov. 21 at 2 p.m. Learn to create custom vinyl decals and paper cutouts with our Silhouette Cameo. Once you’ve completed this 1 hour course, you’ll be able to reserve time to use our Silhouette machines at other GCLS locations. Please register.

Annual Pre-Holiday Cookie Exchange Party: Monday, Nov. 24 at 6 p.m.Ready for holiday baking? Join us for our annual Pre-Holiday Cookie Exchange! This year we will also explore a variety of drink pairings to include with our cookies! Children will play games that teach money skills and engage them with financial topics — like saving, spending, sharing, and budgeting — in a way that is both meaningful and fun. Be sure to register.

Grab and Go Kits for Children: Limited to one per child, each bag includes simple crafts you can do at home! There will be two new crafts per month. First-come, first-served, while supplies last.
