Pink Clover extends heartfelt thanks to the community for the incredible turnout at both Swedesboro/Woolwich Day on Sept. 27 and the Kingsway High School football game on Oct. 3.
Through these two events, volunteers assembled 977 Comfort Kits, each including a handwritten note of encouragement. These kits were delivered to women undergoing chemotherapy at Inspira Mullica Hill, Jefferson, Penn Medicine, and Virtua Moorestown infusion centers.
In addition, funds raised allowed Pink Clover to present a $2,500 grant to a local woman currently battling breast cancer. The check was awarded on the Kingsway football field between quarters, as the crowd stood in heartfelt support as. Jillian Coulahan was surrounded by friends and family.
Pink Clover hosted its Annual Night of Pink Gala Nov. 1 in Cherry Hill. The gala is the largest fundraiser.
The event is attended by not only ticket sales, but by the sponsors and past comfort recipients. Eleven women within our area were honored by the 400 plus attending guests, and presented with Comfort Grants.
Pink Clover invites everyone to be part of something bigger. Sports teams, businesses, clubs, seniors, and students seeking volunteer hours are all encouraged to join in. Comfort Kits cost about $1.20 each to assemble and offer much-needed warmth and encouragement to women enduring hours of treatment.
The Colleen Sorbello Breast Cancer Foundation, also known as Pink Clover, is a New Jersey–based charity dedicated to supporting women in their fight against breast cancer. Founded on Colleen’s vision to provide immediate and lasting comfort to those who need it most, Pink Clover is an all-volunteer organization that relies on the continued support of communities and local businesses to fulfill its mission. Since its founding in 2017, the organization has raised $1.2 million to comfort women locally.
