Holiday Card Writing
The Parks and Rec Committee is hosting an open house holiday card writing party on Tuesday, Nov. 11 from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in honor of Veterans Day. We will be writing out cards to send to active-duty military personnel.
We are asking the community to stop by the Large Conference Room at the Woolwich Township Municipal Building and join us in writing out the cards. The cards will be provided.
This is a nice event for the whole family. You can stay as long as you like.
Holiday Parade Float
The Parks and Rec Committee is looking for some energetic teens to help decorate our float for the Annual Swedesboro Christmas Parade. If you can donate a couple hours, please contact Shannon Kilpatrick, Recreation Coordinator, at skilpatrick@woolwichtwp.org.
Tree Lighting and Fireworks
Join us for a festive, free community celebration on Saturday, Dec. 6 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Locke Ave Park. There will be a Santa for you to take your children’s photos, delicious hot chocolate and cookies.
The evening ends with a fantastic fireworks show. The rain date is Sunday, Dec. 7 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Please share this information with your neighbors if they live near the park so they can be prepared for possible pet anxiety from the noise.
