Community Helper’s Club: Tuesday, Dec. 23 at 4 p.m. This monthly meeting is to put like-minded tweens and teens together to discuss how to make our communities a better place.  We will be talking about topics such as going green, donating supplies or even helping the elderly. Each month will have a new issue so you can bounce ideas off of each other. Ages 9 to 17. Please register as space is limited.

Christmas Cookie Decorating with Allison: Saturday, Dec. 6 at 11 a.m. Celebrate the holidays with cookies! Learn decorating basics and how to decorate festive holiday cookies using royal icing. Santa Visit!: Friday, Dec. 19 at 10:30 a.m. Santa is making a stop at the library for a special visit! Parents will be able to take photos of their children with Santa. Kids can do crafts while they wait their turn. Registration is encouraged.

Monday Night Needlers: Mondays, Dec. 15 and 29, 6:30-8:30 p.m. Bring your fiber arts project or learn to knit, crochet, cross-stitch, etc. Beginners and experienced crafters welcome.

Knit & Crochet Club: Tuesdays from 1-3 p.m. Learn to knit or crochet (instruction and materials provided). Get help or inspiration for your current or next project. All skill levels welcome. 

Everybody Sign: Basic American Sign Language Lessons: Dec. 4 at 6:30 p.m. Join us on First Thursdays for an interactive class exploring the basics of American Sign Language (ASL). In this session, you’ll learn everyday signs, common phrases, and proper fingerspelling techniques. We’ll also debunk popular myths and misconceptions about ASL, Deaf culture, and the Deaf community. Whether you’re curious, just starting out, or looking to enhance your communication skills, this class is a great place to begin! Please register.

Sign Language Social: Dec. 4 at 7:30 p.m. Come join our First Thursday relaxed and welcoming American Sign Language (ASL) Socials — a space for everyone interested in ASL and Deaf culture! Whether you’re Deaf, hard-of-hearing, a sign language student, interpreter, or just curious about learning, these gatherings are a great way to connect, practice signing, and build community. All skill levels are welcome, no pressure, just conversation, culture, and connection. Let’s sign, learn, and grow together! 

Crafting for Adults: Punched Tin Star: Friday, Dec. 12 at 11 a.m. Make an old-fashioned punched tin ornament from a galvanized star. All materials provided. Registration is required as space is limited.

Wooly Wonders: Dec. 15 from 10:30-12 p.m. This needle felting group meets the third Monday of each month, making small 3D shapes from wool. Whether you’ve never needle felted before or you’re an expert, this group is for you.  All materials provided. Registration required as space is limited.

Tinseltown Tuesdays: Tuesday, Dec. 16 at 5:30 p.m. This month we will be watching Christmas in Connecticut (1945), a post WWII romantic comedy with Barbara Stanwyck, Dennis Morgan, Sydney Greenstreet, Reginald Gardiner. A food writer who has lied about being the perfect housewife must try to cover her deception when her boss and a returning war hero invite themselves to her home for a traditional family Christmas. Knit & Crochet Club: Thursdays, December 4, 11 & 18 at 1 p.m.Beginners are always welcome and provided with instruction along with the supplies needed to get started. Bring something you are working on or something you would like to discuss.

Silhouette & Decal Making Reservation: Thursday, Dec. 4 at 6 p.m. Reserve a 2.5-hour time slot to use the silhouette and vinyl cutter in the Logan MakerStudio. Note: To use the silhouette and vinyl cutter you must first complete a certification course. Contact: LoganMakers@gcls.org for more info.

Memory Preservation Station: Friday, Dec. 5 at 2 p.m. & Tuesday, Dec. 23 at 6 p.m. Preserve your family’s treasured memories with our VHS-to-DVD converter, Slide Film Scanner, and 8mm/Super8 Film Reel Converter by reserving a 2.5 hour time slot in our MakerStudio at the Logan Library.

Gaming Get-Together: Fridays, Dec. 5, 12, 19 & 26 at 1 p.m. Get together and play a game with other novices at the library! There is a different game highlighted every week. This is a friendly group, but some experience/knowledge of the game is a plus. Please register, as we have limited sets.

History Book Club: Monday, Dec. 8 at 7 p.m. The History Book Club will be held the second Monday of each month. Please stop by the circulation desk for this month’s selection, Frostbite: How Refrigeration Changed Our Food, Our Planet and Ourselves by Nicola Twilley. Please Register.

Silhouette & Decal Making Certification: Tuesday, Dec. 9 at 6 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 18 at 6: p.m. & Friday, Dec. 19 at 2 p.m. Learn to create custom vinyl decals and paper cutouts with our Silhouette Cameo. Once you’ve completed this 1 hour course, you’ll be able to reserve time to use our Silhouette machines at other GCLS locations. Please register.

Quilting & Sewing Club: Tuesday, Dec. 9 & 23 at 1 p.m. Learn to quilt or sew! Beginners and experienced quilters are welcome, and experienced quilters are free to bring their project and quilt with some new friends.

Crafting with Sandi: Wednesday, Dec. 10 at 6:30 p.m. Come join us every month for a new, unique craft led by Sandi. This month we will be making a holiday birdhouse decoration. Supplies are limited and registration is required. This month there is one class only. 

3D Printer Reservation: Thursday, Dec. 11 at 6 p.m. Reserve a 2.5-hour time slot to use the 3D printer in the Logan MakerStudio. NOTE: To use the 3D printer you must first complete a certification course.

3D Printer Certification: Friday, Dec. 12 at 2 p.m. & Tuesday, Dec. 16 at 6 p.m. Get certified to use our MakerBot Replicator+ 3D printer, and start your own Maker Movement today. Once you’ve completed this 1 hour course, you’ll be able to reserve time to use our 3D Printers at any GCLS location. Please register.

POP of Art!: Saturday, Dec. 13 at 11:30 p.m.Learn about the life and artwork of Robert Rauchenberg and create art in their style with local artist Loren Dann.  Please register! This program is made possible in part by funding from The Gloucester County Cultural and Heritage Commission at Rowan College of South Jersey, a partner of the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State and the National Endowment for the Arts.
