Kingsway Regional Marching Band was named the USBands Group IV-A National Champion, earning an outstanding final score of 93.60.
The band concluded its 2025 season with an incredible final performance of their show, Symphony of Stories, which earned caption awards for Best Overall Effect, Best Percussion, and Best Color Guard. Competing against top programs from New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Maryland, Kingsway proudly emerged as the Group IV-A National Champion for the 2025 season.
This championship performance caps off a truly historic season for our students. The band went completely undefeated at all seven competitions attended this fall, including local, regional, and championship events.
On Nov. 1, the band won the USBands New Jersey State Championship in Group IV-A with a score of 93.8, taking home awards for Best Overall Effect, Music, Visual, and Percussion against nine other New Jersey bands. One week later, on Nov. 8, Kingsway claimed the USBands Group IV-A National Championship title with a score of 93.6, earning Best Overall Effect, Percussion, and Color Guard among competitors from NJ, PA, NY, and MD.
The band’s highest score of the season, a 93.8 at the New Jersey State ended up being the highest score awarded to any band in the A Class across the entire USBands competitive circuit in 2025
The last time Kingsway took home the national title was 10 years ago in 2015, and our Marching Band Director, Mike Massaro, was a senior that year.
Beyond competition, the band performed live for 6ABC’s Action News at 10 on Oct. 3, participated in Philadelphia’s Navy-Marine 250 Parade on Oct. 13, and made their sixth consecutive appearance in the 6ABC/Dunkin’ Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day, where they have also been invited to decorate the Philadelphia Museum of Art steps this year.
The band also performed in the Swedesboro Christmas Parade and the Logan Christmas Parade.
