NJ Maker’s Day (Mullica Hill Branch): Saturday, March 21 at 10 a.m. Come celebrate NJ Makers Day by enjoying various GCLS-hosted, dinosaur-themed ‘make-and-take’ project stations. Guests will be able to jump around the various stations and partake in such activities as: Make a handsewn velvet dinosaur stuffed animal. Sculpt a miniature dinosaur with oven-bake modeling clay. 3D print and paint a dinosaur ‘egg’ or fossil from the Edelman Fossil Park. Miniature dinosaur painting. Understanding Dementia: Tuesday, March 31 at 12 p.m. This program is designed to provide a comprehensive overview of Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. Topics will include the various stages of Alzheimer’s disease, the process of getting a diagnosis, strategies for caring for someone with dementia, and much more. Presented by Alzheimer’s New Jersey.

NJ Makers Day: Drawing class. Saturday, March 21 at 11 a.m. Celebrate NJ Makers Day with us! Choose one class to participate in. In this class, students will receive step-by-step instructions on how to draw a rabbit with instructor, Kecia Magnus. Each student must be registered. Space and supplies are limited.
NJ Makers Day: Felting. Saturday, March 21 at 11 a.m. Celebrate NJ Makers Day with us! Choose one class to participate in. Linda McHugh will be teaching the felting class. Students will make a spring-themed “painting with wool” project. Each child must be registered individually. Space and supplies are limited.
NJ Makers Day: Make a Spring Frog Out of Clay: Saturday, March 21 at 11 a.m. Celebrate NJ Makers Day with us! Choose one class to participate in. Make an adorable spring frog out of clay with “Creating with Clay”. There will be step-by-step instructions. Limited to the first 12 children who register, ages 6 to 12. You will also get to paint your piece and take it home the same day. Space and supplies are limited.
Bead Craft: Monday, March 23 at 4:30 p.m. Join us in making a beaded bracelet or necklace. We have many beautiful beads to choose from. Space and supplies are limited. Be sure to register. Best suited for ages 5 to 12.
Teen Movie Night: Tuesday, March 24 at6 p.m. Come enjoy a relaxing movie or create a skit that could go towards a future fun film project. Ages 12 to 17. Registration not eequired but is encouraged.
Baby Music: Thursday, March 26 at 10:30 a.m. Dance, Sing, bounce and move with your little one. This is best suited for 1 month to 2 years. Be sure to register.
Teen Ted Talks: Thursday, March 26 at 6 p.m. Teens come and present a PowerPoint on their favorite subject, book, video game, or anything they find interesting so long as it is appropriate. Teen Ted Talks will kick off this Thursday and be once a month on the Fourth Thursday of every month from 6 to 7:30. Registration not required but is encouraged.
Easter Craft: Tuesday, March 31 at 4:30 p.m. Make an Easter Egg wreath! Supplies and space are limited so please register each child separately. Best suited for ages 6 to 12.
Literacy Buddies: Are you interested in getting homework or reading help for your child? Is your teen interested in tutoring? The Margaret Dombrosky Swedesboro Public Library provides weekly one-on-one help. Call 856-467-0111 if interested.
Take-Home Activities:
Read and Do Bags!: Limited to one per child, each bag contains 2 to 3 library books, a coloring page, and a simple craft you can do with your child at home. Different themes are available while supplies last. Please bring your bag to the circulation desk for checkout.
Grab and Go Kits for Children: Limited to one per child, each bag includes simple crafts you can do at home! There will be two new crafts per month. First-come, first-served, while supplies last.
