DEMPSEY — Alan E. Dempsey, age 77 of South Harrison Township, passed away peacefully on Dec. 18, 2025, at Autumn Lake Healthcare in Carneys Point.

Alan was a quiet soul with a generous spirit of heart. He was a proud veteran who served in both the Army and Navy. He was also a passionate and devoted educator and administrator. He especially cherished and loved his years working at Washington Township High School.

“The measure of a life is not in its length, but in the love and kindness shared. Think about the times you shared…the laughter, the lessons, the love.”

FINN — David Finn. It is with great sadness to announce David James Finn suddenly passed away on Dec. 28, 2025 at the age of 40 in N. Fort Myers. Florida. David grew up in South Harrison Township, and later resided in West Deptford, NJ, before relocating to N. Ft. Myers, Florida.

David was the beloved son of Marie (Marcucci) Finn of Pittsgrove, NJ and James Finn of N. Ft. Myers, Florida. David attended South Harrison Elementary School, Kingsway Middle School and was a graduate of Kingsway High School Class of 2004.

In 2013, he graduated from Salem County Vo-Tech School and became a licensed Cosmetologist. He especially liked being a barber. Since he was an adolescent, he always wanted to be a barber and would offer haircuts to his friends. He was very talented in this sphere.

As a child, he loved swimming in the family pool, going to the Jersey Shore and summers in Wildwood, NJ. He was active in youth soccer, football, baseball and the Cub Scouts.

He is survived by his son, Tyler of Philadelphia and a daughter, Isabella of Mantua, NJ, beloved sister, Marisa Finn and half-brother Michael Finn, uncle, William Rice and cousin Zachary Rice of Scottsdale, Arizona. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Guido and Genevieve (Bellusci) Marcucci of Vineland, NJ and Paternal grandparents David and Mary (Doon) Finn of Haddonfield, NJ, his maternal aunt, Margaret (Marcucci) Rice. Paternal aunt Mary (Finn) Williams, paternal uncles, David and Richard Finn.

I know his earthly struggles have ended, and he is now at peace. I am sure the Lord has welcomed him in heaven. Until we meet again.

MICKLASAVAGE — Lucy S. Micklasavage, (nee Leotta) 96, formerly of Swedesboro, passed away Jan. 23 at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland, NJ.

Lucy was born in Philadelphia and moved to Swedesboro at the age of 2, where she lived most of her life. She was a graduate of Swedesboro High School, Class of 1947 and held several working positions including, as an operator for Bell Telephone for 11 years, a salesclerk for the former Pino Appliance Store, and being an Avon Lady, which she enjoyed spending time with customers and meeting new people.

She was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish, Swedesboro, enjoyed cooking, her family and social gatherings.

Lucy was predeceased by her husband Joseph and her favorite dog, Bandit. She is survived by her children, Joanna Micklasavage, Victor Micklasavage and his wife Maria and her granddaughter, Emily.

REDROW — Sarah Redrow (nee Feldman) age 88 years of Swedesboro passed away on Feb. 3 in Atlas Rehab, Woodbury.

She was born in Woodbury and raised in Repaupo. Mrs. Redrow was a graduate of Paulsboro High School. She retired with over 20 years of service as an administrative assistant with Chemical Lehman Tank Lines in Bridgeport.

She was a member of Repaupo United Methodist Church, Ladies Auxiliary of Repaupo Fire Company and a past Council member for Logan Township.

Mrs. Redrow enjoyed traveling, trips to the casinos and playing poker. She loved her home on Floodgates, reading her bible, feeding the birds and was skilled at reloading her son’s shotgun shells.

She is survived by her sons Philip and Linda DiPietro of Bear, Delaware, David and Stacy DiPietro of Bellmawr, NJ and Vincent DiPietro of Bridgeport, NJ; 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and her sister, Joan Pirone of Woodbury, NJ. Mrs. Redrow was predeceased by her husbands, Joseph P. DiPietro and Robert Redrow and her son, Joseph T. DiPietro.

A Memorial Service was held in the McBride-Foley Funeral Home, 228 W. Broad St., Paulsboro. KLIMEK — Richard Klimek (known as Raggs to his college friends and soccer community) passed away peacefully on Feb. 6 at the age of 86. Born on Dec. 27, 1939 in Atlantic City, Rich lived in Pennsauken for more than 50 years and in Woolwich Township for his final six years.

Rich was a graduate of Vineland High School, class of 1958. He went on to further his education at Glassboro State College, where he graduated in 1963 with a bachelor’s degree in education. He proudly served his country in the Army while stationed in South Korea as a head medical records clerk.

Following his military service, Rich began a dedicated 38-year career in Burlington City as a middle school physical science teacher and boys’ varsity soccer coach. In the 1970’s, Rich spent summers tending bar at the Cork and Bottle in Wildwood, NJ while his young family enjoyed summertime at the Jersey shore.

He was an original member of the South Jersey Soccer Coaches Association, was inducted into the South Jersey Soccer Hall of Fame in 2000 and was a founding member of the Pennsauken United Football Club in the South Jersey Masters League.

Rich was a lifelong member of the DoWatChuWana Gunning Club in Estell Manor, NJ and shared his love of fishing with his sons and grandson.

Rich was predeceased by his beloved wife, Mary Klimek, of 45 years. He is survived by his sons Mark (Diana) and Andrew (Keri), his grandchildren, Dean and Laine, his sister Phyllis (Paul) Crokus and his loving companion, Mary Lamey.

Always ready with a quick joke, catchy song, or friendly smile, Rich’s warmth endeared him to everyone he met. He will be remembered for his genuine interest in others, and his wish to connect with old and new friends alike.

TASSI — Edith “Italia” Tassi (nee Penna), 93, of Clarksboro, formerly of Gibbstown, passed away Feb. 13. She is the beloved wife of the late Guido Tassi, devoted mother of Howard (Chip) Ayars (Lisa), Guy (Patricia) Tassi, Louis (Nancy) Tassi, Dean (Darlene) Tassi, loving grandmother of Joshua (Tiphiny) Ayars, Milena (Michael) Marr, Louis Anthony (Erika) Tassi, Francis Tassi, Natalie Tassi, and great grandmother of 6. Also survived by her daughter-in-law Yolaine Ayars. Predeceased by her grandchildren Nicholas Tassi, Amanda Galanti, her siblings: Antonio, Alfonso, Dominick, Ginger, Luigina, Mary, Michael and Rose.

Edith loved being with her family and grandchildren, enjoyed bingo, casino trips, shopping and talking with her girlfriends. She served on the Council in Greenwich Township, was the Registrar for Vital Statistics and was a member of the St. Michael’s Ladies Auxiliary.
