Last month, Parks and Rec hosted our annual Daddy Daughter Dance and Mother Son Mixer. We would like to thank our event sponsors for their donations. Both Flowers by Dena and Petals and Paint Florist provided us with beautiful centerpieces for our sweet tables. Local realtor, Jo Anna Papadaniil of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox & Roach, donated carnations for each girl to receive when entering the dance.
Our local photographer, Perfect Day Photography, provided a complimentary photo booth for the dance and mixer. We also appreciate all the volunteers from the Kingsway Middle School that helped with both events. In addition, the dancers from Dance Artistry Center led the girls with dance instructions.
The Easter Egg Scramble was held on Saturday, March 21. Parks and Rec gave out over 5,000 candy or toy filled eggs. Special thanks to Damask Candies located at 2255 US Route 322 for donating chocolate treats for our special golden eggs’ winners.
Movie Night
Join us for a salute to Little League with a pre-opening day movie night on Friday, April 10 at the Walter Hill School Gym at 7 p.m. We will be showing Ed. In the movie, a trained chimpanzee plays third base for a minor-league baseball team.
Please note the movie is rated PG. Water and popcorn will be provided. Bring a blanket if you want to sit on the floor. This is a free event co-sponsored by Swedesboro-Woolwich Little League.
Spring Craft Class
There will be a Spring Craft Class for Senior Citizens on Thursday, April 16 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Woolwich Township Municipal Building. We are making a Spring wreath that is ideal for a hanging on a front door.

Family Day
Save the date for Family Fun Day! The event will be held on Saturday, May 16 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. We have a rain date this year! It is Sunday, May 17 at the same time.
This event is for families with young children. There will be games, rides and a bounce house, food vendors and non-food vendors. Sweetsboro Pastry Shoppe is sponsoring a Cupcake Coloring Contest for children aged 10 and younger. The coloring page can be picked up at the Woolwich Township Building, Sweetsboro Pastry Shoppe or downloaded on the Township website. Entries are turned in at the ticket booth on Family Fun Day.
Grandpop Bubbles is scheduled to make massive bubbles from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Children can also make bubbles. There will be a small fee this year to participate in the bubble area. Please check out Grandpop Bubbles on Facebook.

Pickleball Tournament
Lastly, save the date for the Woolwich Township Pickleball Tournament to be held on June 6 and June 7. In addition, there will be pickleball lessons held in the late Spring. Please check the Woolwich Township website for additional information.
