Mullica Hill Fall Events Begin Sept. 10

mh festival.inddMULLICA HILL — Fall weekend events in Mullica Hill will kick off on Saturday, Sept. 10 with an antique car show, the opening of several new shops, music, and their annual Rode’s chicken barbecue beginning at 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Starting at 10 a.m., there will be an antique car show on Main Street with a dj, car contest, and more. Live music comes later from 1 to 3 p.m. and then concert at 5 p.m. Vendors will be set up on the street.

Rode’s famous BBQ chicken dinner fundraiser can be found at 41 South Main Street beginning at 4 p.m. Half chicken dinner, mac and cheese and corn on the cob with roll will be $15 each. Proceeds help fund events on Main Street.

Shops in downtown Mullica Hill will be open until 7 p.m., many with open house specials. Stop by and help welcome Peach Tree antiques and vintage finds at 36 Main Street. In the same location will be White Washed, a home furnishings shop offering a light take on painted antiques. Owners of Farm House Design recently purchased and renovated this shop. Stop in for refreshments and a drawing for gift certificate.

At 41 South Main Street, Papernut expands to offer kitchen essentials at The Mercantile. This is the perfect stop for hostess or shower gifts.

Canary Row is an antique co-op that recently opened at 33 South Main Street with vintage and  repurposed furniture and vintage music and guitars.

On the North side of town, 52 North Main Street, is home of Deeply Rooted vintage and antique finds. Rustic, farm style and live plants are the base of this quaint little shop. At the same location will be The Other Red Barn, a co-op with different vendors and food.

Holy Tomato Too has some great news. Not only are they celebrating their one year anniversary, but they are also announcing the recent partnership with Salem Oak Vineyards, in Pedricktown, to sell their incredible wines.

Salem Oak Vineyards, established in 2003, proudly offers 14 varieties of wines. Each wine is named after a family member or a friend. Even the dog has a wine. Every wine has its’ own story to share.

In 2014 their Triple Twin NJ Strawberry Wine received a bronze medal in the state competition. Their wine making techniques are under French influence.

Visit them at HT2 or go see their vineyard in Pedricktown for the full experience and take your palette on a journey.
