Adults:
Recyclable CD Craft – Wednesday, June 6- 6:30 p.m. Make some creative wall hangings out of CD’s. Space is limited. Be sure to register at www.gcls.org or call 856-467-0111.
Crafting with Ms. Kelly – Thursday, June 14 – 6:30 p.m. Try a new type of art called glue watercolor painting on paper or canvas. Participants must be registered for this program.
Adult Book Club – The adult book club will resume in the fall. The book selections for summer reading will be posted in the library.

Adult Summer Reading – Did you know that adults can participate in our Summer Reading program, too? Summer Reading begins June 23 and ends Aug. 4. Each week, or the week you want to participate, fill out a slip for each book you read and give to the library staff for our weekly drawing. There will be one winner each week – win a bag of books! There will also be one grand prize winner at the end of Summer Reading. You can win a $25.00 gift card to Barnes and Noble.
Tween/Teens:
Summer Reading Program – Join us for this year’s summer reading program, “Libraries Rock!” Summer Reading registration begin on Saturday, June 23. Join us for a summer filled with programs and fun activities that celebrate Libraries! Teens/tweens can participate in summer reading in two ways: by reading books and/or attending Summer Reading programs. We partner with local businesses to reward youth for their participation. Stop in the library to register for summer reading and to pick up your reading logs. Register at www.gcls.org for all programs. Summer reading ends on Saturday, Aug. 4 – all logs must be handed in at that time. No more prizes will be given out after Aug. 4. Coupons are redeemable until Aug. 31. One coupon per teen.
Teen/Tween Gaming – Join us on Thursday, June 7 – 6:30 p.m. Play Xbox, Wii, DS’s, and traditional board and card games. Bring a friend and have a great time. Note that this is a rescheduled date from the usual third Thursday (June 21).
Writers’ Club – Monday, June 11 – 7 p.m. – For ages 13 – 17. Do you love writing? Join us on the second Mondays of each month. This time will be devoted to writing. You can work on your own writing or pull ideas from our binder. Your writings may be published in our Teen Express Literary Magazine or Midnight Voices.
Teen Book Club – The last teen book club for the school year is Monday, June 11 – 6 p.m. Note that is a rescheduled date from the usual third Monday (June 18). We will continue discussing both The Diviners by Libba Bray and Auggie & Me: Three Wonder Stories by R. J. Palacio. Selections for the 2018-2019 year will be chosen.
Anime Club – Monday, June 25 – 5 p.m. Feel free to come dressed in costume, bring your Pokemon or Yu Gi Oh cards to play, watch an Anime movie or draw Manga characters.
Teen Advisory Board – We welcome teens to join our Teen Advisory Board. Teen Board members will learn library skills, help plan teen activities, contribute to our quarterly teen newsletter and/or work with children by becoming a Literacy Buddy. Call 856-467-0111 for more information.
Literacy Buddies – Looking for teens interested in becoming a Literacy Buddy. During the school year, teens will work one-on-one with a child who needs help with reading, homework or learning English. Commitment is one hour a week. This program will resume in the fall. Children:

Summer Reading Kick-off Program: Digger and Dave – Magic, Music, Dance, and more! – Tuesday, June 26 – 7 p.m. – Bethesda United Methodist Church (Chapel). Register at www.gcls.org.
Literacy Buddies – This program ends June 13 and will resume again in October. Does your child need help with homework, reading or learning English – call us at 856-467-0111 and we will try to match your child with a Teen Volunteer. Literacy buddies will take place on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, beginning in October, from 4:00 -5:00 pm. Let us know which day is best for you.
FURever as Friends – Mondays, June 4 & 18 – 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Visit with our therapy animals, read to them, share a picture book, brush them, and/or give them a treat. Some of our animals even do tricks. Registration is not required. Parents need to sign a permission slip for their child in order to participate.
Board Game Night – Thursday, June 28 – 7 p.m. Bring your favorite board game and a friend to the library. Best suited for ages 6-17.
Toddlers & Babies:
Tuesday Storytime – Storytime is a fun time. Hear stories, sing songs, and make a craft. We meet on Tuesday mornings at 10:30 a.m. June Storytime dates are June 5, 12 & 26. Storytime is best suited for children ages 2-1/2 to 5 years of age. Registration required.
Wednesday Storytime – Join in the fun Wednesday morning for stories, dancing and crafts. Wednesday storytime is at 10:30 a.m. Dates for June are June 6, 13, 20, & 27 – Library meeting room. Registration required.
Baby Music Time – “Sing, Dance, and Play” – Bring your baby to a fun time of music – familiar songs, activities and fingerplays. Baby Time will be held on Thursday, June 7 – 10:30 a.m. Space is limited. Registration is required. There will be no music time on June 21.
Toddler Music Time – “Sing, Dance, and Play” – Your toddler will enjoy a fun time marching, playing instruments, learning fingerplays, and singing familiar songs. This month’s dates are Thursday, June 28. Registration is required as space is limited. There will be no music time on June 14.
