DEPTFORD TWP. — Individuals who are going through or considering divorce are welcome to attend a free, six-session Divorce Recovery workshop sponsored by the Center for People in Transition at Gloucester County College beginning Tuesday, Jan. 14.
Licensed Professional Counselor Jennie McQuaide, Ph.D., will discuss a host of issues associated with divorce, placing special emphasis on its emotional impact and overcoming negativity. She will provide coping strategies to conquer feelings of loneliness, anger and loss of self-esteem. Additional topics and techniques touched upon include responding to children’s emotional needs and communicating with a former spouse.
