SWEDESBORO — The Akeem Cody Foundation would like to thank everyone that participated in our Summer/Fall Flower Power Fundraiser. With their support, the Foundation was able to raise funds that will go towards the 2014 Akeem Cody Foundation Memorial Scholarship. Ten percent of the proceeds were also donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation in efforts to fight against breast cancer.
The community has done a great job in encouraging the youth to further their education, and it is important to remember that there are still many ways in which you can help the Foundation.
The ACF is currently hosting yet another Flower Power fundraiser that will be available until April 24. Flower Power allows those who enjoy the beauty of spring, the opportunity to purchase spring/summer bulbs, herbs, and fruits, all of which can be planted in a beautiful garden.
When participating, 50 percent off all proceeds will go towards the 2014 Akeem Cody Foundation Memorial Scholarship Luncheon. Not only does your purchase benefit the youth, but allows the Akeem Cody Foundation to make this contribution. To participate please go to www.flowerpowerfundraising.com
The foundation is happy to announce that Paulsboro High School has been selected as another high school to receive our organization’s scholarship. This success could not be achieved without the continuous support from everyone.
The foundation would also like to thank DCA Inc. located in Swedesboro, for their generous donation. To stay updated with the many events in the future, please visit the Akeem Cody Foundation website at acodyfoundation.org or join us on Facebook. Once again, the Foundation is humbled and thankful for all of the support from the community.
