: Police charged a 22 year old Logan man with theft following an investigation at the Logan Library in which he stole a winter coat valued at $130. He was processed and released pending court.
Jan. 29:
Officers charged a 19 year old Logan man with criminal restraint, simple assault and resisting arrest following a disturbance in the Quail Ridge development. He was processed and committed to the Salem County Jail in default of $7500 full cash bail.
Jan. 31:
Officers arrested three men while investigating a suspicious vehicle parked on Merle Lane. Upon noticing the police presence, the three exited their vehicle and fled inside a nearby home. Two of the men were subsequently located hiding in a first floor bedroom. All three were charged with hindering apprehension. Two of the suspects, 23 year old Malcolm Coleman and 21 year old Martin Grant of Lindenwold, were wanted on weapons violations in Camden County. They were processed and turned over to Lindenwold Police in default of $100,000 bail.
Jan. 31:
Police charged a 20 year old Logan man with theft and receiving stolen property after it was reported that he stole a 2013 GMC pickup from a Nortonville residence. Several hours later, and with the assistance of an ALPR, the vehicle was located travelling on I-295 at Rt. 130. The accused, John Antipuna III, was arrested, processed and remanded to the Salem County Jail in default of $7,500 full cash bail.
Feb. 1
: Police arrested a 40 year old Salem woman on multiple warrants following a vehicle stop on Center Square Road. She was processed and remanded to the Salem County Jail in default of bail.
Feb 2:
Officers charged a 31 year old Camden man with two counts of simple assault following a disturbance at Taylor Farms on Center Square Road. The man, a temporary worker, entered the facility and struck a security guard and another worker for no apparent reason. While in custody the accused admitted to ingesting marijuana laced with PCP prior to the assault. He was charged, processed, and transported to Cooper Hospital for medical monitoring.
Feb. 2:
Police charged a 21 year old Clarksboro man with DWI following a vehicle stop on Rt. 130. He was processed and released as per John’s Law pending court.
Feb. 8:
Officers investigated a disturbance on Commerce Blvd. in which a handgun was observed inside a warehouse. A thorough search of the area was conducted, however no gun was found. The involved parties, a 23 year old Salem City man and a 31 year old Bear, DE man were arrested on multiple warrants out of Salem County. They were processed and committed to the Salem County Jail.
Feb. 8:
Officers charged a 24 year old Woolwich Township man with DWI following a crash on Stone Meetinghouse Road. He was processed and released pending court.
Feb. 9:
Officers arrested two Pennsville women for shoplifting following an incident at the ACME on Center Square Road. The women, 50 year old Angeline Johnson and 48 year old Sharon Roe, exited the store with two shopping carts containing items valued in excess of $240. Both were charged with conspiracy and shoplifting, processed and released. Roe was additionally charged with obstruction for providing false information to investigating officers.
Feb. 11:
Police charged a 44 year old Logan Township man with harassment and terroristic threats following a dispute on Main Street. He was processed and remanded to the Salem County Jail in default of $1,500 full cash bail.
Feb. 12:
Officers investigated two separate shoplifting incidents at the ACME on Center Square Road. In both incidents, a half hour apart, a white female, between 40 to 50 years of age, exits the store with a shopping cart full of grocery items. Store management estimated the total loss at approximately $600. Investigators are reviewing surveillance in an attempt to identify the suspect.
