Be Prepared: Scouts of Yesteryear

scouting webWOODBURY — Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts have been a tradition in America for over a century. To celebrate this, the Gloucester County Historical Society Museum is presenting a remarkable exhibit with scouting artifacts from over the decades.

Numerous uniforms, merit badges, equipment, manuals, and accessories from the 1930’s on are on display. This exhibit concludes October 26.

Gloucester County Historical Society Museum hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 1 to 4 p.m., and the last Sunday of the month 2 to 5 p.m.  Adult admission is $5; children 6-18 years $1; and children under 6 free.

Private tours are available on other days and times. The museum is located at 58 N. Broad St., Woodbury, NJ  08096.  (856-848-8531).
