WOOLWICH TWP. –Mosquito Shield of Southern New Jersey, located in Woolwich Township, has expanded its offerings to include an innovative Tick Shield product and has already begun its residential spraying service in the region.
In its second year of operation, Mosquito Shield of Southern New Jersey has been servicing customers in Gloucester, Camden and Burlington counties. Woolwich Township residents Janice and Tim Fullmer established the local franchise last year.
“We are excited to now offer this proven tick control product for our customers through Tick Shield,” said Janice Fullmer. “We certainly want to do whatever we can to help our friends and neighbors in Southern New Jersey protect themselves from both mosquito and tick-borne diseases.”
Mosquito Shield was founded in Massachusetts in 2001 in direct response to the absence of effective and affordable mosquito treatments. The company developed Mosquito Protection Barrier™, a patent pending barrier spray that, when started in the early spring, lasts for weeks and grows in strength with continued treatments as the season progresses.
The Tick Shield program is based on the same products and processes as the mosquito barrier spray although with a different application schedule. A technician visits a property every six to eight weeks throughout tick season to apply the specially-formulated tick control product. The product is applied to all turf and wood lines around a property and effectively kills ticks within those areas.
This intensive tick control solution also controls fleas and is developed specifically to help stop the spread of Lyme disease.
