Cody Foundation Honors Scholarship Recipients

Akeem webSWEDESBORO — The Akeem Cody Foundation is a legacy on the rise in the Swedesboro Community. On Saturday, June 7 it held its second annual Scholarship Luncheon honoring our distinguished recipients, Harry Donohue and Mark Murphy.

Donohue, our 2014 A.C.F Scholarship recipient, is honored for his amazing accomplishments as a student at Kingsway Regional High School. Donohue will be attending Gloucester County College in the fall, where he plans to enroll in the Engineering Program. He is one step closer to achieving his career goal of becoming a Civil Engineer.

Murphy is honored for his amazing accomplishments as a student at Paulsboro High School. Murphy will be traveling to Belize, Central America in August on a missionary project with his church. During his trip abroad Mark will be providing construction projects and vacation bible school to the community.

He will be attending Lee University located in Cleveland, TN in the fall, where he will be enrolled in the Global Missionology/Education program.

In addition, the foundation received two amazing performances from Paul Roman Braunstein (Conservatory Of Musical Arts) and Founder/CEO Natasha Harris under the teaching of Anointing In Motion Praise Dance Ministry.

Finally, the Foundation would like to send a special thanks to the Keynote Speaker of the 2014 A.C.F Scholarship Luncheon, Principal Craig Stephenson, from Kingsway Regional High School, who took time from his busy schedule to pour words of wisdom into our youth.

The Akeem Cody Foundation would also like to thank the following parties for their help in the growth of this foundation. Because of their generous donations, the Akeem Cody Foundation continues to assist up and coming youth in their transition into adulthood.
