Email Basics – Thursday, Aug. 14 – 2 p.m.

Basic Computer Skills – Monday, Aug. 25 – 7 p.m.

Line Dancing for Beginners (Adult & Teen Program) Wednesday, Aug. 6, 13, & 20 – 6:30 – 8 p.m. – Learn how to Line Dance with Debbie Minatee – Plan on attending all four sessions.  Space is limited so you must be registered to attend.

“Caring and Sharing with Seniors” – Friday, Aug. 8 – 11 a.m. Caring and Sharing is a fun time of social activities:  puzzles, games, music, crafts, bingo, and more! We will meet on the second Friday of each month from 11-12 p.m. Call 856-467-0111 for more information.

Adult Book Club (meets the last Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m.)

Teen/Tween Book Club (meets the second Thursdays of each month – 7

p.m.)

Teen/Tween Writers’ Club (meets second Mondays of each month – 7 p.m.

Teen/Tween Gaming – Join us Thursday, Aug. 21 – 6:30 p.m. Play Xbox, Wii, DS’s, and traditional board and card games.  Bring a friend and have a great time!

Teen Advisory Board – Join our Teen Advisory Board. Be a Reading Buddy, work with children, learn library skills, or help plan teen activities. Do you enjoy writing?  Write reviews and/or create quarterly teen newsletters. Call 467-0111 for information on how you can volunteer or become an active member.

All Ages:

FURever As Friends – Register your child to read to a trained therapy dog for a 15 minute time slot – This month’s dates will be Mondays, Aug. 4 & 18, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Please register by calling 467-0111 or at the library. Permission slips are required.

Ages 11 and up:

Sewing Classes

A series of 4 sessions. The class will be limited to 6 students.  Must be available to attend all 4 sessions:  Thursdays, Aug. 7, 14, 21, & 28 – 1 p.m. Classes will cover history of sewing, how to thread a sewing machine, sewing in a straight line, hand-sewing, reading a yardage chart, and picking out a pattern. Tentative projects include headbands, bandana pillow, t-shirt pockets, and apron. Please call 856-467-0111 to register.

Toddlers/Babies:

Tuesday Morning Story Time – Story Time is a fun time! We meet on Tuesday mornings at 10:30 a.m. (Tuesdays, Aug. 5, 19, & 26). Story Time is best suited for children ages 2-1/2 to 5 years of age. Registration required.

Wednesday Morning Story TimeWednesday morning story time meets at 10:30 a.m. August dates are Aug. 6, 13, 20, & 27 – Library meeting Room. Registration required.

Baby Music Time – “Sing, Dance, and Play” – Bring your baby to a fun time of music – familiar songs, activities and fingerplays.  Baby Time will be held on Thursday, Aug. 21 – 10:30 a.m. Registration required.

Toddler Music Time – “Sing, Dance, and Play” – Your toddler will enjoy a fun time marching, playing instruments, learning fingerplays, and singing familiar songs.  This month’s date is Thursday, Aug. 28 – 10:30 a.m. Registration required.

Family Events:

Family Movie Nights:  Movies TBA. Thursday, Aug. 7 – 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 28 – 6:30 p.m. Bring your own snacks!

Family Bingo – Monday, Aug. 25, 6:30 p.m.

Homework and Reading Buddies – The Reading Buddy Literacy Program provides one-on-one assistance to children for help with learning English, help with phonics and reading skills, and help with Math and Language Arts. Children interested in having a reading buddy during the 2014-2015 school year should contact the library at 467-0111. Teens interested in being a reading buddy should also contact the library.
