Jada Komandina, a resident of Woolwich Twp. and an honor student at Kingsway Middle School, was honored on Oct. 23 at the Volunteer Center of South Jersey’s award dinner. Komandina received the prestigious gold level President’s Volunteer Service Award for all of the volunteer hours she recorded last year. She volunteers for the Woolwich based pet therapy organization FURever As Friend and for the Salem County Humane Society. Komandina also received a letter of appreciation from Barrack Obama and a Joint Legislative Commendation from the State of New Jersey.
