Nov. 19: Police charged a 26 year old Glassboro woman with terroristic threats, disorderly conduct, and harassment following a motor vehicle complaint and subsequent disturbance on Village Center Drive. She was processed and released on her own recognizance pending court.
Nov. 20: Police charged a 24 year old Penns Grove man with possession of marijuana following a Rt. 130 vehicle stop. He was processed and released pending court.
Nov. 21: Police investigated several instances of wood pallets being stolen from a business on Commerce Boulevard. Company representatives reported that over the past several months, 4,300 pallets-contained in trailers- had been stolen. The pallets were valued at $89,986.
Nov. 21: Officers charged a 24 year old Penns Grove man with possession of marijuana following a Rt. 130 motor vehicle stop. He was processed and released pending court.
Nov. 21: A Swedesboro man reported that his 12 foot aluminum boat was stolen from a property on Rt. 44 sometime over the past few months. The boat was valued at $500.
Nov. 22: Officers charged a 22 year old Eddystone, PA man with simple assault following an early morning disturbance in the parking lot on Village Center Drive. He was processed and released pending court.
Nov. 22: Officers arrested two men, both wanted (NCIC Hits) out of Camden and Gloucester Counties following a vehicle stop on I-295. A 56 year old Woodlynne man was processed and turned over to Camden County authorities. His associate, a 56 year old West Deptford man, was processed and remanded to the Salem County Jail.
Nov. 23: Police investigated a residential burglary and theft that occurred at home in Bridgeport sometime over the past week. The homeowner reported that someone entered her residence, possibly through an unlocked side door, and removed an estimated $3,500 worth of jewelry from the master bedroom.
Nov. 25: Police charged a 29 year old Philadelphia woman with aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose following an incident on Sharptown Road. The accused allegedly slashed the victim and co-worker several times with a utility knife following an argument. The victim suffered a serious laceration to her left cheek which required treatment at an area hospital. Bail was set at $75,000 full cash and service is pending.
Nov. 28: A Paulsboro Road resident reported that several sections of his fence as well as gutters were damaged sometime overnight.
Nov. 28: Officers investigated a shoplifting complaint at the ACME in which $264 worth of Tide detergent was stolen. Investigative efforts assisted by store surveillance have identified a suspect and complaints are pending.
Nov. 30: Officers charged an 18 year old Carneys Point woman with burglary, criminal mischief and possession of drug paraphernalia following a suspicious activity complaint at a vacant home on Edward Drive. She was processed and remanded to the Salem County Jail in default of $2,500 bail.
Dec. 1: Two brass backflow preventers were reported stolen from commercial property on Beckett Road. The valves were valued at $800.
Dec. 5: Officers investigated several reports of vehicles being burglarized while parked in the Super Fitness parking lot. The perpetrator broke out the windows of the cars after observing pocket books and other valuables in plain view. Residents are reminded to safeguard their effects during the holiday season by removing valuables from the vehicle or placing them in the trunk or out of view.
Dec. 5: Police arrested a 19 year old Pilesgrove woman on several outstanding warrants following a Center Sq. Road vehicle stop. She was processed and released on her own recognizance.
Dec. 7: Officers charged a 25 year old Newark, NJ woman with criminal trespass, criminal mischief, and harassment following a disturbance on Arlington Blvd. in which she caused extensive damage to an acquaintances vehicle. The accused fled the scene upon officer’s arrival and service is pending.
Dec. 8: Police investigated an assault in which a juvenile male reported being approached by several other juveniles and punched several times. Officers are investigating the circumstances and juvenile complaints may be pending.
Dec. 9: A Woolwich Twp. resident reported that her wallet was stolen from her vehicle while she was shopping at the WaWa on Center Square Road.
Dec. 10: While investigating an early morning suspicious vehicle on Repaupo Station Road, officers encountered a 29 year old Paulsboro man, Michael Hunt, who subsequently fled on foot after offering false identifying information. Hunt had been wanted (NCIC) out of the Gloucester County Prosecutors Office and had additional warrants in excess of $18,000 out of numerous jurisdictions. An extensive search of the area, assisted by a Logan K-9, Woolwich Twp. and Greenwich Twp. officers proved unsuccessful. Hunt was charged with resisting arrest, obstruction of justice, and hindering apprehension with bail set at $50,000. Additional charges are pending as prescription pills were located inside the vehicle following a consent search.
Dec. 10: A Philadelphia man reported that his wallet was stolen while he was working on Technology Drive. The wallet contained cash, his debit card as well as other personal identifiers.
Dec. 11: An Ohio man reported that several pieces of construction equipment were stolen from his work truck while it was parked in the Holiday Inn overnight. A trash pump, adaptor, and steel rings valued at $3,000 were stolen.
Dec. 15: Police charged a 26 year old Salem man with shoplifting following an incident in which $275 worth of detergent was stolen at the ACME. Bail was set at $7,500 and service is pending.
Dec. 16: Officers, investigating a report of an armed subject at the Holiday Inn, charged a 48 year old Midlothian, VA man with unlawful possession of a weapon. Responding officers located a man matching the description as provided, and observed a bulge in the small of his back. A search yielded a loaded Smith and Wesson 9mm. He was processed and released on his own recognizance pending court.
Dec. 18: Police investigated the theft of 37 aluminum poles from a Pedricktown Road business. The poles were valued at $1,200.
Dec. 20: Police investigated a shoplifting complaint at the ACME in which a Logan man has repeatedly left the store without paying for various items. Restitution was made in lieu of complaints and the man Dec. 21: Police charged a 32 year old Logan man with theft following a complaint on Paulsboro Road in which a debit card was stolen from a family member. The accused fled on foot upon being approached by officers, and was subsequently found hiding under a nearby deck. He was wanted NCIC out of the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Dept. and had additional outstanding warrants as well. He was processed and committed to the Salem County Jail.
Dec. 21: Officers charged a 21 year old Logan man with criminal trespass and theft following an investigation at a business on Sharptown Road. The accused admitted to stealing several thousand dollars worth of railroad spikes and rail joints after his actions were captured on surveillance video. A portion of the stolen items were recovered and returned to the business. The man was processed and released pending court.
Dec. 22: A homeowner in the Logan Woods development reported that his residence was burglarized sometime over the past two days with entry being gained by an unsecured rear door. Items stolen from the house include three handguns, a Smith & Wesson .38, Smith & Wesson .357, and a Smith & Wesson 9mm. Two shotguns; a Remington 12 gauge, and an Ithaca 12 gauge along with several gun cases and prescription medication were also reported stolen.
