MICKLETON – The final public Question and Answer Session, hosted by the East Greenwich Library Association will be held on Thursday, Oct. 24 at 7 p.m. in the East Greenwich Municipal Building.
This will give residents the opportunity to ask questions about the library referendum that will be on the Nov. 5 ballot. On the referendum, residents will be asked to decide if they want East Greenwich Township to withdraw from the Gloucester County Library System (GCLS) and, after a two-year waiting period, establish a municipal library.
The decision to put the referendum on the ballot followed a community effort to save the library after the GCLS Commission announced that it would close the East Greenwich Library Branch when its lease ends in January 2014.
Residents are encouraged to attend so they can make an informed decision at the polls on Nov. 5.
