MULLICA HILL — The County of Gloucester has contracted South State, Inc. to complete the much needed resurfacing of North Main Street, Route 45.
The county announced that on or about April 20, roadwork will begin from North Main, starting from the Rte. 322 By-Pass, heading south and ending at the intersection of Main Street & Mill Road.
Lane shifts, as well as night work with temporary road closures will be utilized throughout the construction zone. Access for residents and local traffic / business will be maintained during the night time closures.
This project will include concrete work, handicap ramp improvements as well as a new flashing
pedestrian crossing sign at the intersection of Route 45 and Woodland Avenue
Potential dates & timeframe for night work are as follows: May 4, milling is planned to be a one night operation, weather permitting. May 18 and May 19, paving operations are scheduled, weather permitting.
All night time work will begin at 7 p.m. and end at approximately 7 a.m. All work schedules are subject to change in pending weather conditions.
