WOOLWICH TWP. — The Swedesboro Woolwich Parks and Recreation Committee has many exciting activities planned for the remainder of this year and the start of next year.
First, the Second Annual Not So Scary Halloween Parade and Movie will be held on Sunday, Oct. 27 at the Woolwich Township Municipal Building starting at 4 p.m. 
Come dressed in costume and parade outside the building, then enjoy a family friendly movie “Frankenweenie”. Refreshments will be provided. A parent must accompany all children.
Have you heard about the new outdoor Winterland Ice Skating Rink that is coming to the grounds of Rowan University in November? Parks and Rec will sponsor a night there on Thursday, Dec. 5 from 6 to 8 p.m. More details to come so mark your calendar.
Start your holiday shopping early with tickets to a hockey game. Parks and Rec is selling tickets to the Philadelphia Flyers NHL Game for Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014 at the Wells Fargo Center.
The seats are in section 222A and the cost is $50 per ticket. For tickets, please send an email to RSVP@woolwichtwp.org and indicate the number of tickets needed. A Parks and Rec Committee member will contact you regarding your tickets.
There are a limited number of tickets available. In addition, we are selling tickets to the Adirondack Phantoms Game for Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014 at 7 p.m. at the Wells Fargo Center. The seats are in section 106 and the cost is $14 per ticket.
