KIMBALL — Jane Pidgeon Kimball, 92.
Jane lived on her family’s farmland which they occupied for three generations. She was a lifelong and active member of Bethesda UM Church and the JEMS Class. Both Lore Heating and Chesney Insurance benefited from her office abilities until she retired in 1988. After that she gave most of her time to her community: the volunteer job she loved most was reading to kindergarten students at Clifford school.
She always wore a smile and never gossiped or spoke ill of another. And Jane was known to work wonders behind the stove: she and her late husband, Charles baked Christmas cookies to give to friends, family and shut ins. One year the tally was 8,000 cookies. Of course, not every cookie was given away: sons Charles IV and Larry were known to dip into the cookie jar. In addition to her sons she is survived by six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

SCHULER — Herbert Schuler age 93 years of Clarksboro died July 24 in Manor Care, West Deptford.
Mr. Schuler was born in Woodbury and raised in Penns Grove and Pedricktown. He was a veteran serving in the United States Navy during World War II and attended Glassboro State College. Mr. Schuler retired after 35 years of service as Business Manager for N.J. Bell Telephone in Pleasantville.
He was a member of Clonmell United Methodist Church, Gibbstown; an honorary member of Upper Penns Neck Fire Department, Carneys Point and the Gloucester County Amateur Radio Club.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 72 years, Claudie Schuler of Clarksboro; his sister in law, Prudence Schuler of Woodstock, VT; his nephews, Andrew, Jonathan and William Schuler, Mitchell and Carl Tracy, Terry O’Neill and his nieces, Linda O’Neill and Debbie Campbell.

LERCH — Joseph F. Lerch age 86 years of Paulsboro died July 27 in Inspira Hospital, Woodbury.
Mr. Lerch was born in Lake Township, PA and raised in Clarksboro. He was a veteran serving in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Lerch retired after working in the construction field for many years.
He was a member of Clarksboro Lodge NO. 87, F. & A.M.; past member of the Moose Lodge and the “Chain Gang” and Paulsboro High School. While his son was growing up, he coached Little League and basketball. Mr. Lerch enjoyed playing golf and was an avid reader.
He is survived by his son, Joseph and Robin Lerch of Gibbstown; his grandchildren, Christopher and Jordaine Lerch; his brothers, Walt, Charles and Ronald Lerch and his sister, Lillian Kier. Mr. Lerch was predeceased by his wife, Alice Lerch.

MISKOFSKY — Christopher N. Miskofsky, 41 years, of Woolwich Township, passed away July 31.
Born in Woodbury, he was a life resident of Woolwich Township. He was a graduate of Kingsway High School, Class of ’95, a member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish, and was employed as a graphic designer for Staging Dimensions in New Castle, DE. Chris was a guitar collector, buying and selling, a masterful chef, an avid flyers fan and heavy into political views.
Chris is survived by his parents, Nick and Concetta (Tina Garozzo) Miskofsky, his sister Kathryn, many loving Aunts, Uncles and Cousins and his closest friends, Joel Vasta and John Leech. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Angelo and Catherine Garozzo and Nick and Anna Miskofsky.

TROVERO — Diane E. Trovero, age 68 of Swedesboro, lost her battle with cancer on Aug. 5 in Pitman Manor.
Born in Philadelphia, daughter of the late Quentin C. and Hannah May (Mathis) Lange, Diane is a 1969 graduate of Kingsway High School. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Taylor and Mathew Balga, and their children, Kayla, Deane, Trey; her former stepsons, Joe and Tony Trovero, and their children, Brady, Justin, and Cate; her brother, Ron Lange; her niece, Liz Lange; and her nephews, Ron Jr., Steven, Joshua, Jeremy, and John Lange. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, John Lange.

MAHLEY — Janet C. Mahley (nee Green) age 76 years of Clarksboro died Aug. 10 in her home.
Mrs. Mahley was born in Swedesboro, raised in Billingsport and was a 1960 graduate of Paulsboro High School. She played field hockey and basketball while at P.H.S. as well as playing softball for the Heritage’s Dairy Maids and field hockey for the West Jersey League.
Mrs. Mahley was a member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Clarksboro where she made the crab cakes for their annual dinners for many years and she was a member of the Episcopal Church Women’s Group.
Mrs. Mahley was an avid tennis player and enjoyed playing at Riverwinds, was a member of the Buck Ridge Hiking and Ski Club and was a member at large of the Strathmere Improvement Association. She enjoyed fishing, crabbing, clamming and many outdoor sports. Once, she even caught a 24-1/2 inch flounder!
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Donald S. Mahley of Clarksboro; her son, Gregory R. Mahley of West Deptford; her sister, Dorothy Jones of Cortez, Colorado; her brothers, Thomas C. and Shirley Green of The Villages, Florida, Robert E. and Karen Green of Sicklerville; her sister in law, Joni Green of Denver, Colorado and several dear nieces and nephews. Mrs. Mahley was predeceased by her brother, Charles F. Green Jr.
