FONES — Mary E. Fones (nee Reed) age 91 of Woodbury died June 28 surrounded by her family. Mary was raised as a P.K. (Preacher’s Kid) and wrote an autobiography for her family. She spent her life serving the Lord at the Berkley Baptist Church in Mount Royal. She held offices of treasurer, trustee, Sunday school teacher, and as an organist for over 40 years! Mary worked as a legal secretary for Cresse and Carr in Woodbury for many years. She was a resident of East Greenwich for 64 years.

She is survived by her children, George and Jackqueline Carney of Sherwood West; Carol and Bruce Thompson of Mickleton; Phyllis Fones and Paul Morrison of FL; Ken Fones of ME; Charles and Lisa Fones of Mickleton; and Claire Dunn of FL; her 17 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren; her sisters, Florence Cuthbertson of Thorofare, Sara Russell of DE, and Leslie Coleman of DE. Mary was predeceased by her husbands George Carney and Albert H. Fones; her children, Elaine J. Futia and Florence Blankenbeker; and her two grandchildren. Services were held at the McBRIDE-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME, Paulsboro. Interment Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro. FISHER — Calvin Leonard Fisher, Jr., the only child of Ruth and Calvin L. Fisher, Sr. was born in Salisbury, Maryland on March 24, 1955. He passed away too soon on Sunday, Aug. 30, 2015.

Calvin matriculated in the schools of Philadelphia, PA, graduating with honors from Germantown High School. He received full scholarships to Penn State and Howard University, but chose to attend the University of Pittsburgh, from which he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. He then went on to receive his law degree from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri in 1984.

Calvin was licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and received his license to practice before the United States Supreme Court in 1998. Calvin spent time in private practice and as an Assistant City Attorney for the City of Camden. Calvin opened his own private law firm as well as worked for the municipalities of Camden and Lawnside. He served as the Planning and  Zoning Attorney for the Borough of Lawnside. He was the Planning Board Attorney for the City of Camden.

Calvin met and married Karyn Collier on Dec. 27, 1997. From this union they had three beautiful children:  Nicholas Alexander, Adam Christopher and Madison Grace Fisher.

His early Christian life was at White Rock Baptist Church in Philadelphia. He then joined Bethel AME Church in Moorestown, NJ with his parents in 1975. He later transferred his membership to Mount Zion AME Church in Swedesboro. He worked diligently and faithfully.

For Calvin, the most important thing in his life was his family. He adored his wife and children. He did everything he could to make their lives beautiful. He also remained a faithful, loving and dutiful son to his parents.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Karyn, two sons Nicholas and Adam, his daughter Madison, his parents Ruth and Calvin Fisher, Sr. and his many aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of professional colleagues and friends.

MORGAN — Vincent Gregory Morgan “Vinny”, 20, of Woolwich Township, passed away suddenly in his home on Aug. 23. He was born in Woodbury, NJ, on Oct. 18, 1994 and spent most of his life in Woolwich Township. Vinny is survived by his father, Joseph Allan Morgan, Jr. and wife, Gina; his grandmothers, Olive Morgan and Joyce Magazu, brother Joseph Allan Morgan, III and wife, Kaitlyn; sister, Tara Schwebel; brother, Tom Schwebel; nieces, Briana Morgan and Gianna “Gigi” Martell; aunts and uncles, Judy and Anthony Rastelli, JoAnn and Denis Cliff, and Theresa O’Brian. He is also missed and loved by many cousins and friends. Vinny is predeceased by his mother, Madeline (Panero) Morgan; maternal grandparents, Nicholas and Madeline Panero; and paternal grandfather, Joseph Allan Morgan, Sr.

Vinny graduated from Kingsway High School in 2013 and was currently taking classes at Rowan University for criminal justice. His desire and goal was to work in law enforcement, specifically with the State Police. Early on he started playing lacrosse and he continued throughout high school. He loved being outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. However, he was also into weight lifting and he would spend at least six days a week in the gym. Although he enjoyed his time with both family and friends, he was also very responsible and dedicated to his job at Rode’s Fireside Restaurant.

SHIVELER — Mabel Crispin Shiveler, Mickleton. Mabel and her late husband, George, were Mickleton residents for many years. Ladies could be observed entering their home and emerging looking much prettier. Mable had a beauty salon there. Mable was raised in Woodstown and graduated with the class of 1939 from Woodstown High. She was a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church, the Order of Eastern Star Swedesboro Chapter # 115 and also active for a long time with Logan Twp. Senior Citizens. In 1941 Mable married the late George H. Shiveler before he shipped out to Europe. When he returned in 1945 they started a family and were blessed with three children: the late Jay Shiveler, Avis Shiveler Brangan and Alan Shiveler, grandmother of seven and great grandmother of several.

WALTON — Stella Louise Walton, age 66 died on Sept. 6 at her home in Mt. Royal. Stella was born and raised in Mifflintown, PA and graduated from Tuscarora Valley High School in 1966. She formerly lived in Danville, PA for 19 years and has lived in West Deptford and Mt. Royal, for the past 15 years. She worked at Zimmie’s Diner as a waitress in Mifflintown, PA. Stella began her nursing career at Brookline Nursing Home in Mifflintown, PA, she was a psychiatric nurse at Danville State Hospital, retiring in 1993. Stella was a positive person who was devoted to her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter Christina (Robert) Bamford, brother Dean (June) Walton, sister Patricia Campbell and granddaughters Madelyn, Corrine and Erin Bamford. She was preceded in death by her father Wilber Walton, her mother Dorothy (nee Gable) Walton, her brothers Ricky and George and her sister Janiey Walton. NERI — Phyllis E. Neri Mullica Hill, died on Sept. 9, age 78 of Mullica Hill. She was the beloved mother of Sue (Rick) Tesauro and the late Joseph Gotz. She is also survived by three granddaughters Jenna, Danielle, and Andrea and many other family members, friends, and co-workers. ELVICH — Joseph D. Eivich (Driver), of Mullica Hill, passed away suddenly on Sept. 10. Joe was aged 27 years. Born in Woodbury and raised in Mullica Hill, Joe graduated from Kingsway High School. Joe had a passion for turning the wrenches and was a welder by trade. His life motto was, “Coveralls and Can Milk”. Joe’s legacy that he leaves behind is his quick witted behavior and cute smile that everyone who knew him loved.

Joe is the beloved son of Gail M. Driver; loving grandson of Babe Driver; cherished father of Isabella Orndurf; best of buds to; Bobby, Johny, Kevin , Kenny and his four legged buddy, Jette. Joe is predeceased by his grandfather Robert Driver, Sr. and four uncles.

RODRIGUEZ — Tony Rodriguez Jr., (You Get It), age 57, of Wildwood and formerly of Swedesboro, passed away at Cooper Medical Center, Camden. Born in Salem, Tony lived in Wildwood and worked in the maintenance dept. for the Quebec Hotel in Wildwood. He enjoyed old movies, music, sharing memories of family and friends.

Tony is survived by his sisters, Diane Ash, Betsy Costa and Judy Rodriguez, a son, Michael Fox, and his great friend and mentor, Lester Katsanis. He was predeceased by his parents, Anthony Sr. and Delia Rodriguez Pabon, his brothers, William and Nelson Rodriguez. Graveside services were held at Lake Park Cemetery, Swedesboro. Arrangements were by the Cheega Funeral Home, Swedesboro.

KECHAIDIS — Panayotis Kechaidis, 87, of Mullica Hill passed away on Sept. 11. Beloved husband for 60 years of the late Eleni. Devoted father of Anna K. Brecht (Don) of Mullica Hill and Maria Kechaidis (Mark Flescher) of Manalapan. Loving grandfather of Eleni and Annemarie Brecht and Eleni Rose Flescher.

BRENNAN — Alicia M. Brennan, 37, of Swedesboro, on Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2015. Born in Philadelphia, PA, Alicia lived most of her life in Williamstown before residing in Swedesboro. Alicia was a 1996 graduate of St. Joseph High School in Hammonton. She was an employee of the Gloucester County Human Services Department for 13 years.

TRAUTMAN — Judith Trautman, 72. Throughout her life Judy continued to pursue knowledge. As a youngster she learned to play several instruments and also instructed others how to play. Her organ teacher was Larry Ferrari and because of his association with the Wanamaker Department Store, Judy got to play their famous organ. She was always a member of a United Methodist Church wherever she lived. Judy didn’t just warm the pew. She excelled as a Sunday School teacher quoting appropriate Bible verses from memory. After high school, Judy attended Philadelphia Bible College and later Gloucester County College to obtain licenses to be a Building Inspector and Fire Inspector. She was employed as a Construction Official in both Sea Isle City and Logan Twp. Her last position was with Penns Grove as a Court Clerk. A double knee replacement forced her into retirement but since she couldn’t sit still Judy volunteered as a Financial Secretary at Bethesda United Methodist Church in Swedesboro. The Methodist Church played a big part in Judy’s life. It was only fitting that she would meet her husband, Bernard “Butch” in the church they both attended as children in South Philadelphia. They were blessed with four children: Sean Canty, Dana Darling, Nichole Trautman and Brent-Jason Trautman, 10 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. LANGE — John Steven Lange, age 58 of South Harrison Twp., died Friday, Sept. 18 in his home. Born in Woodbury, he was the son of Quentin C. Lange and the late Hannah May (Mathis) Lange. John was a graduate of Kingsway High School, and he operated the family auto mechanic business, Lange’s Garage, for over 30 years. He enjoyed racing, whether it was following NASCAR or being involved with a sprint car pit crew. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting.

In addition to his father, John is survived by his sons, Steven Q., Joshua E., Jeremy W., and John D.; his brother, Ronald; and his sister, Diane Trovero-Lange.
