Logan Township Tries Video Meeting Format to Conform To COVID Regulations

BRIDGEPORT — The Logan Township Council continued their efforts to protect employees and township residents from the enduring pandemic by changing the format of their meeting on April 21, changing their municipal meetings from in person attendance at the Logan Municipal Building to teleconference, due to the continuing  COVID-19 crises. Public notice was provided for the dial-in numbers necessary for public participation.

In a further effort to protect its residents, in early April Council provided isolation masks to all Logan Township residents at the Logan Elementary School, in cooperation with the Logan Township Police Department and Logan Township Fire Department.

All municipal offices have been closed to the public in an effort to protect employees and the community residents from further spread of the corona virus. All essential Logan Township operations and emergency services, including police and public works, have continued to be in operation.  

Logan Township has also advised residents that all municipal court sessions for May have been postponed. If you are scheduled for court, you will receive a new notice of when to report.

Court was expected to resume on June 3.

Elsewhere, in resolutions, a resolution was approved endorsing the submission of a 2019 Municipal Recycling Tonnage Grant Application to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, Office of Recycling.

Also, the Council authorized the release of the cash maintenance bond posted by Lakeside Property Investments (Food Comm.) affecting their parcel on 2600 Oldman’s Creek. Council approved the Improvement Bond Estimate for Rastelli Brothers Realty, LP, for site work and other improvements affecting their parcel on 300 Heron Drive.

One more resolution adopted by Council approved the Improvement Bond Estimate for Warner Court LLC, for site work and other improvements affecting their parcel on 1 Warner Court in Pureland.
