Adults:

Scarf Tying – Wednesday, Dec. 9 – 6:30 p.m. Join Dianne Clement and learn creative ways to have a different look by how to tie your scarves.

Adult Holiday Craft – Wednesday, Dec. 16 – 6:30 p.m. Enjoy creating a miniature sleigh decoration with Miss Lindsay. Space is limited. Please register.

Adult Book Club – Join us for our adult book club that meets on the last Tuesday of each month. This month’s selection will be Etiquette & Espionage by Gail Carriger. December’s date is Tuesday, Dec. 29 – 7 p.m.

Tween/Teens:

Teen/Tween Book Club – Thursday, Dec. 10 – 7 p.m. Join our fun discussion group and read some great selections. This month’s selection will be Feedback by Robison Wells. Bring a friend.

Teen/Tween Writers’ Club – Monday, Dec. 14 – 7 p.m. If you love writing, need new ideas, like sharing ideas/stories/poems, and/or learning new writing techniques and types of writing – this club is for you. Your writing could be part of our new quarterly teen/tween literary magazine, Teen Express. Call 856-467-0111 for more information.

Teen/Tween Gaming – Join us Thursday, Dec. 17 – 6:30 p.m. Play Xbox, Wii, DS’s, and traditional board and card games. Bring a friend and have a great time.

Anime ClubMonday, December 28 – 4:30 p.m. Enjoy like-minded lovers of Anime and Manga. View an Anime movie, play Yugioh and Pokémon, trade cards, and/or draw Manga characters. Feel free to dress in character. Call 856-467-0111 for more information.

Teen Advisory Board – We welcome teens to join our Teen Advisory Board.  Be a Literacy Buddy and work with children, learn library skills, or help plan teen activities. Do you enjoy writing? Learn to write reviews and create a quarterly teen newsletter. Call 467-0111 for information on how you can volunteer or become an active member.

Children:

Amazing Math Club (STEM) – Thursday, Dec. 3 – 7 p.m., 4th to 6th graders are invited the first Mondays of each month – math games, challenges, vocabulary, and more!

FURever As Friends – Register your child to read to a trained therapy dog for a 15 minute time slot – This month’s date will be Mondays, Dec. 7 & 21 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. On Dec. 21 – FURever will spread some Christmas cheer! Please register by calling 467-0111 or at the library. If it’s your first time, please stop at the circulation desk.

Make a tree disc snowman – Tuesday, Dec. 8 – 7 p.m. Create this adorable ornament. This program is sponsored by the Swedesboro Shade Tree Commission.

Coding – Learn beginning Computer Coding Skills with Scratch – Monday, Dec. 21 – 4 p.m. Space is limited. Please register.

Family Bingo – Have a fun time playing bingo with the family and winning prizes – Monday, Dec. 286:30 p.m.

Toddlers & Babies:

Tuesday Story Time – Story Time is a fun time!  We meet on Tuesday mornings at 10:30 a.m. (Tuesdays, Dec. 8, 15, 22, & 29). Story Time is best suited for children ages 2-1/2 to 5 years of age. Registration required.

Wednesday Story TimeWednesday morning story time meets at 10:30 a.m. December’s dates are Dec. 9, 16, 23, & 30 – Library meeting Room. Registration required.

Baby Music Time – “Sing, Dance, and Play” – Bring your baby to a fun time of music – familiar songs, activities and fingerplays. Baby Time will be held on Thursdays, Dec. 3 & 17 – 10:30 a.m. Registration required.

Toddler Music Time – “Sing, Dance, and Play” – Your toddler will enjoy a fun time marching, playing instruments, learning fingerplays, and singing familiar songs.  This month’s date is Thursday, Dec. 10 – 10:30 a.m. Registration required.

New Year’s Eve Party – Thursday, Dec. 31 – 1 p.m. Join us for crafts and games and great snacks to ring in the New Year.

Literacy Buddies – The Literacy Program provides one-on-one assistance to children learning English, phonics and reading skills, and math and Language Arts. Children interested in having a literacy buddy during the 2013-2014 school year should contact the library at 467-0111. Teens interested in being a literacy buddy, please contact the library.

The library will be closed at 2:00 pm on Thursday, Dec. 24.  The library will be closed on Christmas day, Friday, Dec. 25.
