MULLICA HILL — Join in on Main Street for an old fashioned Christmas with two events to bring back the best parts of Christmas, starting with Saturday, Dec. 5, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Bring friends and family to celebrate the holidays and get some shopping done without all the hassle of big box stores. Shops on Main Street will be decorated in holiday splendor offering live music, refreshments and special sales throughout town.
Mrs. Claus will be here to greet you and many shops will have special events that day including bonfires, hot chocolate, tasty treats and more. Transportation will be provided on Main Street.
And don’t miss Saturday Dec. 12, 2 to 7 p.m. is the 41st annual Christmas House Tour. Homes, churches and historic buildings will be open for tour. This year there will be a beautiful 1700’s Salt Box, and an early 1800’s Rail Road workers home.
And the star of the tour is back! A late 1700’s Federal style, whose owners not only open their doors but their garden and pantry. You will delight in the many structures, statues and sheer beauty of this yard and wonderful home while enjoying popcorn by the fire, snacks and refreshments.
A few new additions to the tour and a few old favorites are here too. A reading of A Christmas Carol will be performed at Old Town Hall throughout the day, performances at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, and Santa and Mrs. Claus will be here to. Add some live music to round it all out and you have the makings of magic.
The event is rain or shine. Shops will be open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. offering specials and treats. Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 day of tour. Call 856 223 5440 or go to www.mullicahill.com.
