The Slave Dwelling Project – Tuesday, Feb. 23 – 7 p.m.  Since 2010, Joe McGill has spent nights in slave dwellings in 25 states and the District of Columbia. The intent is to bring much needed attention to these often neglected dwellings. Learn about his adventures including the night he spent at the New Jersey governor’s mansion in Princeton, NJ! CHILDREN’S TAKE HOME ACTIVITIES 

Valentine Card Challenge – Contest runs from Feb. 1 to Feb. 27. A special prize goes to the most original Valentine – ages 4-12.  All participants receive a snack prize.  Pick up your instructional sheet at the circulation desk of the GCLS Swedesboro Library.

Take Home:  Read and Do Bags!  Patrons can check out one bag per child at the Swedesboro Library. Each bag will contain 3 library books, a coloring page, and a simple craft you can do with your child at home. Different themes will be available while supplies last. Please be sure to bring your bag to the circulation desk for checkout.

Grab and Go Bags for children – Stop in to pick up a “Grab and Go Bag” – one per child. Enjoy simple crafts you can do at home! There will be a new craft each week. Supplies are included. First come, first serve, while supplies last.  

Storytime Kits – Once a month, pick up a storytime kit. Kits will include one free book, activities, and a craft. One per family while supplies last.

Winter Reading Program & Bingo – Runs through Feb. 27 – for ages 0-teens.  Go to gcls.readsquared.com. Win a line of bingo – get a prize. Complete the whole board – get another prize. Grand prizes will be awarded to one child in each age category:  0-5, 6-12, for the most books read; teen grand prizes will be chosen by random drawing.  There will be winners from each branch.
