SENIORS OF THE MONTH FOR APRIL

Megan Lail, daughter of Joel and Patricia Lail of Mickleton.

MEGAN LAIL

School Activities: Megan has been involved in the following activities during her high school career: Cheerleading Team since her freshman year. She has cheered for both the fall and winter teams for all four years. She was a General Member of the Student Council her freshman and sophomore years, and Student Council Executive Board during her junior and senior years. Renaissance since her freshman year.  Student Ambassador sophomore, junior, and senior years. She also assisted with Kingsway Live the past two years, helped choreograph the dances, and helped to create the music mixes. Member of National Honor Society, as well as National Art Honor Society during her junior and senior years and is currently the secretary for National Art Honor Society.  Anti-bullying Club during her junior and senior years, Foreign Language Club her junior year, and S.U.R.E Club during her sophomore year. Megan was also a part of the Young Authors Club in her junior year.

Honors/Awards:  Megan was awarded to be a part of the National Honor Society as well as the National Art Honor Society. She also was awarded a member of the Student Council Executive Board for the past two years. She has been on the Principal’s or Superintendent’s List every semester. She was the Winter Cheerleading 2020-2021 Captain as well as being awarded many cheerleading awards including Best Attitude Award (Fall Cheerleading 2019), Mentor, Teacher, and Leader Award (Fall Cheerleading 2020, Winter Cheerleading 2021), Captain Award (Winter Cheerleading 2021), and Standout Senior Award (Winter Cheerleading 2021).

Future Plans: Next year, Megan will be attending The College of New Jersey, with a dual major in Secondary/Special Education and Mathematics. She hopes to become a high school math teacher and a high school cheer coach.

Kelly Macias, daughter of Merida Cobeña of Logan Township.

School Activities:  Kelly has been involved in the following activities during her high school career:  Marching Band (10,11,12), Field Hockey (9th), Wrestling (11th), Cultures Club (9th, 1st, 12th), Concert Band (9th, 10th), Percussion Ensemble (12th), and Red Cross Club (11th).

Out of School Activities: Kelly works at Goya Foods (11th-12th).

Honors/Awards:  Kelly’s Honors and Awards are Drum major of the Marching Band-(11th, 12th), World Language Honor Society Vice President (12th), National Honor Society (12th), National Art Honor Society (12th), and Tri-M (12th)

Future Plans:  Kelly will be attending TCNJ, majoring in Health & Exercise Science.
